At the beginning of the week I wrote about an excellent $1,700 roundtrip Business Class fare that Hainan is offering for travel between LA and Shanghai but I.ve just spotted an even better deal on the same airline - you can fly in Business Class between LA and Beijing for just $1,609.
Business Class fares across the Pacific can be astronomically high (we don't tend to see as many Business Class fare sales across the Pacific as we do across the Atlantic) but right now there's a fantastic $1,700 roundtrip Business Class fare on offer for travel between Los Angeles and Shanghai courtesy of Hainan Airlines.
Two Asia-based airlines are looking to make inroads into the US market with Chinese Airline Hainan opening up reservations on its new Beijing to Las Vegas route and Indonesian airline Garuda planing to make the most of its recent FAA upgrade by launching a new route to the US.
Two good pieces of news for UK travelers (and those looking to visit the UK) as both Qatar Airways and Hainan Airlines announce new services to the UK....and neither involves London! With so much airline traffic in and out of the UK condensed into the London area it's great to see a bit of expansion.
In the first of today's fare alerts I posted fares between Seattle and Shanghai/Beijing for the last three months of 2015. The most direct fares were with Hainan and Delta but American Airlines had a fantastic milage-run-worthy fare which came out to just 4.4c/mile.
There are some great looking fares for travel from Seattle to China over the next 3 months. On the Shanghai route it looks like Hainan and Delta are battling it out for supremacy with American getting involved too. On the Beijing route its a battle between Air China/Air Canada and Hainan.
