Update on Hyatt reservations at the Tommie Hollywood
A couple of days ago we wrote about the news that Hyatt will be losing one, possibly two, of its properties in Los Angeles and as I just happen to have reservations at both of the properties in question, I can now offer an update on what Hyatt's official line appears to be and on how it's dealing with cash bookings at one of the affected properties.
United Airlines opens up reservations on 8 new transatlantic routes
Around two weeks ago, United Airlines announced a series of new routes for the northern hemisphere summer season next year. At the time of the announcement, the flights had yet to be loaded into the booking system and we didn't have all the details surrounding the flight timings and aircraft that United plans to use on these routes. Now, for eight of the new routes, bookings are open, and the schedules have been published.
You can now use Qantas Points to book awards on Oman Air
Oman Air may now not be expected to join the Oneworld Alliance before the middle of 2025, but that doesn't appear to be preventing the airline from expanding its partnerships to include more airlines from within the alliance.
Update on US CBP preclearance in Abu Dhabi (good news)
A little over two weeks ago, we wrote about the news that passengers on two of Etihad’s US bound flights would, for a transitional period, not be able to use the US CBP preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi and would have to clear immigration upon arrival in the United States just as passengers on most other flights have to do. Well, there's now some good news to share.
Interesting, my targeted Amex spending bonus offer just changed
Almost exactly a month ago, American Express published a number of targeted spending offers for holders of its business cards and as a targeted cardholder, I could see the same offer listed under two of my cards. As the offer wasn't particularly rewarding and as I didn't want to trigger the offer's 90-day usage period until I actually had some spending to put on one of my targeted cards, I didn't add the offer to either card and I left it sitting in my 'available offers' list.
Aer Lingus will add flights to Indianapolis from 2025
In the past month, we've seen Aer Lingus confirm that it's adding more flights to Denver and Minneapolis/St Paul next year and that it will launch a new route to Nashville from April 2025. Now we have confirmation that the Irish flag carrier will add yet another US destination to its route map in 2025 - Indianapolis.
On which domestic routes does Delta currently offer widebody aircraft?
Generally speaking, widebody aircraft are configured for long-haul international flying, and this means that the cabins you'll find onboard are often more comfortable than the cabins offered on the narrowbody aircraft that we usually find operating domestically on short haul routes.
Get a birthday discount with Qatar Airways Privilege Club
Most of the year, Qatar Airways runs promotions that offer travelers one or more incentives to join its Privilege Club program and if you're US-based, the fact that Qatar Airways is a Citi Thank You program transfer partner is another good reason to get signed up if you aren't already. There is, however, a third reason to make sure that you're a Privilege Club member - you get emailed a future flight discount in honor of your birthday.
Hyatt is losing one (possibly two) of its properties in Los Angeles
Even though we have a home in Los Angeles, a need to get some work done to our home means that I have to move out for a few days, and because hotel loyalty programs can still make me do irrational things, those few days were meant to see me staying at two of Hyatt properties in the city.
Save on select IHG stays with this new Amex offer [Targeted]
Amex has just launched a new targeted offer spending at select IHG properties in the US and its territories, and while this offer doesn't cover some of IHG's more upscale brands, the saving on offer should still be useful and relatively simple to lock in.
Save $175 off select Cathay Pacific bookings with this offer [Targeted]
A day after Cathay Pacific revealed its new Business seat (Aria suite), Amex has launched a new targeted offer for spending with the Hong Kong based carrier in which it's offering a $175 statement credit on bookings made for travel originating in the United States.
Multiple Alaska Mileage Plan changes are on the way for travel in 2025
Mileage Plan is in a state of flux right now as Alaska Airlines continues to make changes to its loyalty program. A series of changes to Mileage Plan were first announced in late 2023 and these started to come into effect from the beginning of 2024. Now, more of the promised tweaks are ready to be introduced and yet more new changes have been announced.
Save 10% on your next Hyatt Place stay with this offer [Targeted]
If my cards are anything to go by, the past few months have seen Chase focusing heavily on offers on stays for Marriott properties with little or no offers appearing for stays made with Hyatt. Well, that has now changed with select cardholders being targeted for a Hyatt Place offer.
Deal: Get cash back on Hyatt stays in Hawaii [Targeted]
A new set of Amex offers have dropped this morning and the most interesting travel related offer appears to be one that's offering a statement credit for spending made with Hyatt hotels and resorts in Hawaii.
Unsurprisingly, Hilton Points are on sale again (get 5 nights in the Maldives for $2,400 if you’ve been targeted)
Hilton is back with yet another mystery points sale just a couple of weeks after the last points sale ended, so it's probably time that we stop thinking of these events as 'sales' and start thinking of the times when a sale isn't on as an aberration.
Big devaluation coming to the Hyatt & American Airlines partnership
Under the guise of offering members "new choices, valuable redemptions and status opportunities" Hyatt and American Airlines have announced a series of serious changes to their partnership which will, in effect, make that partnership considerably less useful for most people. This is a big devaluation that's on the way.
Marriott Bonvoy and Aeroplan now offer reciprocal elite status
Other links to products and travel providers on this website will earn Traveling For Miles a commission that helps contribute to the running of...
Alaska Airlines is now operating four new California routes
Alaska Airlines has recent history of bolstering its presence in California and that presence is soon going to be bolstered even further when the airline introduces three new SoCal routes later this year.
Two US flights can no longer use the pre-clearance facility in Abu Dhabi (temporarily)
Unfortunately, passengers on two of Etihad's US bound flights are, for a 'transitional period', no longer able to use the US CBP preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi and will have to clear US immigration upon arrival just as passengers on most other flights have to do.
Save up to 20% on Qatar Airways flights from Europe to select destinations (excl. Americas)
Qatar Airways has launched a new promotion in which it's offering members of its Privilege Club (which free to join) up to 20% off fares between various European countries and the airline's destinations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania (this is a similar promotion to one that appeared back in March).
World of Hyatt Free Night Awards – everything you need to know
All four major hotel chains in the miles & points world issue awards or certificates that allow the bearer to book a free night* at properties in their portfolio, but Hyatt's free night awards can be little more complicated than the awards issued by Marriott, IHG, and Hilton, so this article will, hopefully, clear up any confusion.
Deal: Alaska Airlines miles on sale with a mystery bonus [Targeted]
For the second month running, Alaska Airlines has launched a new mileage sale in which it's offering select Mileage Plan members a mystery maximum bonus which varies from account to account.
Get 25% off stays at Waldorf Astoria, Conrad & LXR properties worldwide
Well, this is good news. The promotion discussed in this article was, at one point, an ongoing promotion that never seemed to end, that offered a very good deal, and that wasn't particularly well publicised.
For most of this year, however, the usual link to the promotion page hasn't worked, and all the Google searches we performed only brought up old pages with the same non-functioning link, we assumed that the deal had finally been killed off.
These are the major 4Q 2024 hotel promotions from Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott
Now that we're into October and into the fourth quarter of 2024, there's a good chance that we're not going to see any more major hotel promotions announced before the end of the year and with that in mind, here are all the big promotions from Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott that cover some or all of the period between now and 31 December 2024.
Everything you need to know about Alaska Airlines Flight Pass
Alaska Airlines Flight Pass is a subscription based service offered by Alaska Airlines for flights covering select cities in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah (with a very heavy bias in favor of California).
Get a 25% bonus on select conversions to Qatar Airways Avios (+ earn an extra bonus for large conversions)
Qatar Airways has launched a new version of the bonus Avios promotion which we saw running in May, and this time around there are a few key differences that you should keep in mind. Usually, this offer is for a 30% bonus and is restricted to banking currencies only. This time around there's a 25% bonus on offer, ALL (Accor's loyalty program) and Shangri-La Circle are included, and Qatar Airways is throwing in an extra bonus for every 100,000 Avios created in one move.
Spend $300 and get $100 back at select Radisson Blu & Cambria Hotels [Targeted]
Two weeks after we saw Amex launch a targeted offer for spending made with select Ascend Collection and Radisson Hotels in the Americas, a second targeted Radisson/Choice Hotels offer has appeared which covers stays at Radisson Blue and Cambria Hotels in the Americas.
Aer Lingus will fly to Nashville from April 2025
In the past couple of years, Aer Lingus has been making a concerted effort to boost its transatlantic presence with new routes to the US, more flights to the US, and closer ties to its biggest US airline partner, and now its continuing that trend with the announcement that from April 2025, Nashville will appear on its route map.
Get up to 10% back on your next Radisson Rewards award booking (capped at 9,000 points)
Radisson Rewards (the non-Americas version) is currently offering members a one-off chance to earn a rebate of up to 10% (capped at 9,000 points) on their next award stay. Clearly, this isn't a reason to get excited about a program that has been devalued so badly that even Delta SkyMiles executives think things may have gone too far, but if you still have a stack of Radisson points, this may be of interest.
Earn double Hyatt points at Mr & Mrs Smith hotels
Coming a week after we saw Hyatt announce a double points promotion for select stays made in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, Hyatt is back with another double points promotion that covers all Mr & Mrs Smith properties that currently participate in the World of Hyatt.
Get 15% off award night stays at new IHG hotels and resorts
Hyatt offers a handful of bonus points to customers staying at one of its recently opened properties, but IHG goes a little further by making stays at select new properties a little cheaper for customers booking with points. Specifically, it makes bookings 15% cheaper for a limited time and for some, this will be a useful saving to be offered.
Get $200 back on Amex Travel Virgin Atlantic bookings [Targeted]
The offer discussed in this article is slightly different to the usual Virgin Atlantic offer Amex publishes (the other offer launched today) in that the spending target and the statement credit are both lower and the offer is only valid on spending made through Amex Travel.
Save $300 on Virgin Atlantic bookings with this targeted Amex offer
The offer discussed in this article is the standard Virgin Atlantic offer that we're used to see Amex publish (the other offer launched today and which we will discuss separately is different in a few ways) and it's a near exact copy of the offer that expired back in June.
A big Virgin Atlantic Flying Club devaluation may be on the way, but should you care?
Virgin Atlantic issued a press release yesterday that gave us a heads up that we may be seeing a big devaluation to the Virgin Flying Club from the end of this month, but as the team leading the Flying Club program has chosen not to provide any real details about what's heading our way, it's hard to say just how bad the upcoming changes are. More importantly, however, should anyone really care?
Earn 30% bonus United Airlines miles when you convert select hotel currencies
Just as it did in October last year, the United Airlines MileagePlus program is again offering members a 30% bonus when they convert select hotel currencies into MileagePlus miles. For members with Marriott Bonvoy points, this could be a good deal. For people with orphaned hotel points that qualify for this promotion, this could be a good deal. For just about everyone else, this is a promotion to avoid.
30% more Avios when you convert Chase Ultimate Rewards Points
Chase Ultimate Rewards has launched a promotion in which it's offering a bonus on points transfers to the three key Avios-issuing airlines - British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus - so anyone who wasn't able to take advantage of the Amex transfer bonus that ended yesterday now has a second chance to boost their account balance(s).
Save on select spending with Small Luxury Hotels of the world [Targeted offer]
Almost exactly a year to the day we last saw this targeted offer appear (that was on 2 October 2023), Amex is again offering targeted cardholders a saving for spending made directly with Small Luxury Hotels of the World by the end of the year.
What I assume are mistakes in the Chase Sapphire Preferred terms and conditions can make things confusing
One of the benefits that comes as part of the package offered by the Chase Sapphire Preferred® credit card is a $50 credit that is automatically applied to a cardholder's account once a year when they use their card to make a hotel booking through the Chase Travel℠ portal, and up until now, I thought I understood the terms and conditions that come attached to this benefit.
Targeted: Save $100 on select Chase Travel bookings (stack with bonus points offer)
Yesterday, we wrote about a targeted offer that hasn't been particularly well publicised in which Chase is offering 10,000 or 20,000 bonus points on select bookings made through Chase Travel℠. Well, it looks like select Chase cards are also being targeted for a deal offering $100 off select Chase Travel℠ bookings, and these two offers should stack.
Why the Park Hyatt London River Thames will have to be very, very good
I'm a big fan of the Park Hyatt brand. Out of all the top brands that the major miles & points chains operate, it's my favorite. The St. Regis brand occasionally comes close, but I would choose a Park Hyatt over most InterContinental, Ritz-Carlton, and Waldorf Astoria properties in the same city.
Air France is the latest airline to sign-up for Starlink wifi
Recently, we had Hawaiian Airlines confirm that it now offers a 'fast and free' Starlink wifi service across all of its aircraft and we've seen United Airlines announce that it will start rolling out free Starlink wifi to its customers from next year, and now Air France says that it will be joining in.
Earn 10,000 – 20,000 points with one Chase Travel booking [Targeted]
Chase is targeting select card holders for a deal in which it's offering between 10,000 and 20,000 points for spending made through Chase Travel℠. There's a minimum spend requirement of $500 and that spending needs to be made in a single transaction, but other than that, this looks like a pretty straightforward offer.
SkyTeam & Eurostar have announced a partnership (will we earn & burn miles/points on Eurostar?)
SkyTeam (the alliance which includes the likes of Delta, Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic) and Eurostar (the European high-speed train operator) have announced that they have signed a partnership agreement that will see the airlines of SkyTeam and Eurostar working closely together.
British Airways delays the introduction of Club Suites on its Singapore route
At 6,765 miles, the London - Singapore route is one of BA's longer routes and the schedules have, up until now, told us that the airline was planning to swap out the A380 that currently operates one of this route's two daily flights for a Boeing 777-300ER (complete with the new Club Suites) from the end of March next year.
This Hyatt Place property is now offering Globalist members two breakfast options
With Hilton having devalued its breakfast benefit at properties across the US and with more and more properties apparently doing their best to offer guests as little as they think they can get away with it, or to gouge them with indefensible Destination Fees that cover absolutely nothing of any use, it's easy to think that as far as hotel benefits go, there's only one direction that we're going in. Backwards.
Hyatt has plans for a new property in the Maldives
Hyatt currently has two hotels in the Maldives. There's the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa (a name that never fails to make me think of someone laughing) and the Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, but going forward, there may be a third.
Why I’m considering the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card (despite not being a big Hilton fan)
My primary hotel chain is Hyatt and my back up chain is Marriott, and this means that I don't stay at Hilton properties very often. Despite this, however, I've found myself considering getting the costly Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, and the more I think about it, the more sense getting the card seems to make.
SAS makes cuts on select routes to/from the United States
SAS has recently joined the SkyTeam alliance and since then, we've started to see the airline building up a hub in Copenhagen and we've seen it bringing back routes between Europe and the United States that haven't operated for years. It's not, however, all expansion, expansion, expansion, at SAS HQ
Earn double Hyatt points at 320+ properties (all regions except Americas)
IHG, Hilton, and Marriott are all running global promotions for the upcoming months, so out of the major miles & points hotel chains, Hyatt has been the only one that up until now, hasn't thrown its customers a bone. Well, a bone (of sorts) has now been thrown, but Hyatt fans hoping for a Bonus Journeys promotion that's valid worldwide are in for a bit of a disappointment.
Hyatt is bringing the Andaz brand to Australia
Australia doesn't really offer World of Hyatt fans a lot of options as at the time of writing, there are just nine open Hyatt properties across the whole country, there are no Hyatt's west of Melbourne, and because Mr & Mrs Smith properties offer minimal benefits to guests with Hyatt status, they're not much help either.
Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment review
The Hyatt Regency Albert Embankment is one of four Hyatt Regency Properties in London and it joined the World of Hyatt in January 2023 after spending the preceding years as the Crowne Plaza London Albert Embankment. I first visited this property just after it had joined Hyatt (the pens in the room still had Crowne Plaza markings), but as I didn't review the property at the time, I recently made space in my calendar for another visit.
Cathay Pacific will add Dallas Fort Worth its route network next year
Cathay Pacific has announced that it will fly to eight North American cities next year after it adds another US city to its route map in April 2025.
Save up to 40% on select Marriott stays with this Amex offer [Targeted]
American Express has brought back targeted offer that we last saw launched at the end of May and which ran through August. This time, the offer covers select Marriott stays that are paid for by November 23rd and the best-case scenario will see cardholders saving around 40% on their Marriott spending.
These are Delta’s five new summer routes to Europe (+ two route resumptions)
Over the weekend, Delta Air Lines updated its schedules for summer 2025 to include five new routes to four different countries and the resumption of two European routes that the airline hasn't operates since 2016 and 2020 respectively. This is what all of those routes look like (including the newly published schedules).
Links to all the news stories that we wrote about in the week just gone
Last week was a week with a lot of news covering new and returning routes to the US and Europe as well as some key announcements from JetBlue, an update from Hilton, and details of Emirates' plans to bring its latest cabins to its transatlantic routes. You'll find links to all these stories as well as a few other articles in the list below.
Links to all 15 deals we wrote about this week (some are targeted)
Sometimes, it can be a chore to keep up with all the deals that get launched or discussed when you have a job to hold down and/or a family to look after, so here are the deals we wrote about in the past week all condensed into a single page with links to the various articles in which we discuss each deal in more detail.
Hyatt’s newest Los Angeles property is now part of the World of Hyatt
The newest Hyatt in LA county is the Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica and while the property has been bookable through Hyatt for a few weeks, it was only added to the World of Hyatt on Wednesday 18 September. Don't, however, rush to book the property just yet. It's a Hyatt in name, but it probably has a little way to go before it's a Hyatt in the way that most Hyatt fans would expect and want it to be.
Amex is making the redemption of Uber credits a little more irritating
Both the Platinum Card from American Express and the American Express Gold Card offer cardholders Uber/Uber Eats credits that can be used within the United States and up until now, these credits have been easy to use and haven't required much thought. From November, that's no longer going to be the case.
Stack two points promotions + a 10% cash back deal on your next IHG stay (select brands)
The latest IHG global promotion has had quite a lot of publicity, so you probably already know that you can earn 3,000 bonus points for every 2 nights that you stay at IHG properties by the end of the year.
But did you know that for select IHG brands, you should now be able to stack the global promotion with a second (less well-known) promotion and a cash back deal to really maximize your earnings and savings?
How Marriott Bonvoy’s Starbucks partnership works (+ earn 1,000 bonus Bonvoy Points)
Starbucks and Delta have had a loyalty partnership for almost two years, but it was only in June of this year that Starbucks launched a partnership with a hotel loyalty program. That program was Marriott Bonvoy and the partnership with Bonvoy gives U.S. Starbucks Rewards members and US Marriott Bonvoy members cross program earning opportunities.
SAS will bring back two routes between Europe and the United States
When it comes to its US routes, it looks like SAS is keen to feed traffic to SkyTeam's biggest North American Airline (Delta) as a recent set of schedule updates have seen the Scandinavian carrier bring back two routes that it hasn't operated for years, and both routes are to key Delta hubs.
Save up to $150 on select Expedia hotel bookings [Targeted Offer]
American Express is now targeting select cardholders for a 15% statement credit (capped at $150) when they book and prepay a hotel stay by the middle of December. At first glance, a 15% saving with no minimum spend criteria looks appealing, but make sure you read this article fully before you rush of to book as there are a few key things to keep in mind.
The devaluations to benefits JetBlue didn’t mention yesterday
Yesterday, JetBlue made three positive announcements that were welcome news to its frequent flyers and to its premium transatlantic passengers, but as has become normal with press releases nowadays, the airline didn't bother to mention that while on the one hand it's making a few positive moves, it's also making some negative changes that a lot of its customers won't like.
Now live: The last big IHG promotion of 2024
After a few fallow months, IHG finally unveiled a new global promotion last week, and it's now live and valid on bookings though the end of the year. Like quite a few recent promotions that we've seen, this one isn't going to get many pulses racing, but if there's any chance that you're going to be booking with IHG anyway, you should register now and pick up a few bonus points along the way.
Get $75 back on select stays with Radisson in the Americas
Amex has started targeting select cardholders for a statement credit in return for spending made at Radisson properties in the Americas. Most of the properties at which this offer is valid appear to be in the US and Canada, but you'll also find a few participating locations in Central and South America as well as one or two in the Caribbean.
Four key reasons why points are better than Marriott Free Night Certificates
Over the past couple of years, when Chase and American Express have boosted the welcome bonuses on their Marriott co-branded cards, they have sometimes chosen to offer successful new applicants the chance to earn three or more Free Night Certificates instead of the more usual points bonanza.
Aer Lingus is adding more flights on two US routes
A lot of the route expansion that we have been writing about in the past few weeks seems to have mostly centered outside of the United States (although we did write about British Airways adding more flight to the US in 2025), so it's good to be able to report that two US cities will be seeing more service from Aer Lingus in summer 2025.
JetBlue will introduce airport lounges and some new frequent flyer perks
JetBlue has just announced that in an attempt to offer a more premium offering, it plans to open airport lounges at New York JFK and at Boston Logan, and that alongside a soon-to-be-released new premium credit card, it will also boost some perks that it offers to its more frequent flyers.
Remember: Having Global Entry membership doesn’t take the place of a United States ESTA
Thanks to the continuing enlargement of the Global Entry program and the US Visa Waiver Program, more people than ever before can now enter the United States relatively easily and without having to stand in the seemingly endless lines that some of our international airports have long been known for (I’m looking at you Miami).
Save on stays with Amex and Preferred Hotels & Resorts [Targeted]
Not to be confused with the bonus points offer for stays at Leading Hotels of the World which launched about a week ago, Amex is now targeting select cardholders for a saving on spending made with Preferred Hotels & Resorts across several regions of the world.
Save $300 on select Marriott Homes & Villas bookings [Targeted]
American Express has launched a new targeted offer for Marriott Homes & Villas stays. The offer covers payments made through 17 December 2024 and because the spending needed to trigger the rebate doesn't have to be made in a single transaction, this rebate may be easier to earn than first looks suggest.
Save up to $57 on your next Sheraton stay [limited time targeted offer]
Over the past couple of weeks, Chase has been drip feeding cardholders limited-time offers for stays at various Marriott brands and the latest brand to appear on our online offers page is Sheraton. This takes the number of active Chase offers for stays at Marriott properties to six, although some only have a few more days left to run.
Emirates adds Premium Economy and new Business Class to six US routes
Since August, Emirates has been gradually rolling out its reconfigured 777s on several of its routes, but up until now, its transatlantic routes have missed out. Not, however, for much longer as the airline has now confirmed that it plans to bring the upgraded aircraft to six of its transatlantic routes starting in November.
Norse Atlantic will bring back its New York – Athens route in 2025
In many ways, Norse Atlantic was created in the image of the Norwegian Airlines that we remember before the pandemic, so it's no surprise to find the airline offering a low-cost transatlantic product out of a variety of European cities.
Etihad’s expansion continues with 3 more weekly flights to Sydney
Towards the middle of last week, Sydney Airport broke the news that Turkish Airlines is launching a new service to New South Wales (which will go non-stop in 2026), and it has now broken the news that Etihad will be adding more daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Sydney from next year.
Targeted: Earn 175,000 bonus points with the American Express® Business Gold Card
Over recent months, American Express has loosened the purse strings and become noticeably more generous with some of the welcome offers that we have been seeing. The standard offers haven't always been very generous, but the targeted offers that we've been seeing have been great, and there's now an excellent targeted offer for the American Express® Business Gold Card.
Save up to 15% on EVA Air bookings with this targeted offer
Following on from the offer for ITA Airways spending that we saw launched yesterday, Amex is back today with a new airline offer, and this time it's for Taiwan's EVA Air. The offer appears to be widely available, so if you're making plans head to Asia between now and next November and are happy to pay before the end of the year, this could be an easy way to save a little cash.
Hilton is adding the final 102 SLH properties to its booking engine
Back in July, Hilton confirmed the rumors that had been circulating for some time when it announced that it would be adding almost 400 SLH properties (Small Luxury Hotels of the World) to the Hilton Honors program and that in time, all these properties would be bookable via Hilton.com.
Qatar Airways is the latest Gulf carrier to add more flights to Europe
Last week we read about Etihad bringing back First Class to Paris and adding more flights to the French capital, and we read about Etihad adding two new routes to Europe and increasing flights to Zurich. Now, we're hearing that Qatar Airways is about to add more flights to one of its European routes for winter 2024/25.
Earn 5,000 bonus Amex points with National Car Rental [Targeted]
American Express is targeting cardholders with a new offer for bonus points on spending with National Car rental made through the end of the year (this is the second rental car offer we've seen Amex publish today). The offer applies to reservations made at locations within the United States (and US Territories) and requires that reservations are made at least 24 hours in advance.
Save on Enterprise Rent-a-Car spending with this targeted Amex offer
It's Monday, and that means that we're seeing Amex publish a few new targeted offers today, and alongside the ITA Airways offer we wrote about earlier, there's also an offer that could earn you up to 25% back on a Enterprise Rent-a-Car booking completed by the end of the year.

British Airways has announced that it will operate more flights across the Atlantic next summer than it has ever operated before with cities like Miami, Austin, Las Vegas, and Vancouver amongst those getting boosted service. Here's what you need to know about BA's plans for North America in summer 2025.

While this has been rumored for some time, we now have official confirmation from United Airlines that it had signed a deal with Elon Musk's SpaceX for the provision of inflight wifi across its entire fleet.
How good is the new offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card?
Chase has now updated and upgraded the welcome offer associated with the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, but is this an offer that you should be jumping on or is this an offer that's not worth the effort?
Select Oman Air long-haul awards now bookable with Avios (Glitch?)
Oman Air is set to join the oneworld alliance towards the end of the year at which point all of the airline's Business Class and Economy Class awards should become bookable with oneworld currencies like AAdvantage miles and Avios, but not before. So why are some long-haul Oman Air awards now seemingly bookable with Avios?
Etihad brings back First Class to Paris and adds flights
It was only a few days ago that we heard that Air France was suspending its service between Paris and Abu Dhabi from the end of October, and yet we're already seeing Etihad responding to this schedule change and it's responding strongly.
Flash sale: Now Aer Lingus is selling Avios with a 50% bonus (best current deal for smaller purchases)
With the British Airways flash sale on Avios ending yesterday, Aer Lingus has now joined in the fun and launched its own sale in which it's offering a 50% bonus on most purchases. This is better than the British Airways sale which just ended and in some ways it's better than the Finnair Avios sale which is still in progress (it ends on 18 September), so this sale may be worth considering.
This is the new Turkish Airlines Sydney service (it will go non-stop from 2026)
Sydney Airport has confirmed that Turkish Airlines will launch a new service between Istanbul and New South Wales from this winter (northern hemisphere) to compliment its existing route between Istanbul and Melbourne. What's a little more interesting, however, is that this new route is expected to operate non-stop from 2026.

IHG (the hotel chain that includes the Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Holiday Inn, and Kimpton brands) has announced that it will be adding a new boutique hotel to its Spanish collection following the signing of a new agreement with Prevario Banyols.
How to link Finnair Plus & British Airways Executive Club accounts
With Finnair now using Avios as its loyalty currency, there will come a time for most serious Avios collectors when it will be useful to be able to move Avios to/from a Finnair Plus account to/from another Avios account (e.g. to make the most of an award chart sweet spot).
The American Airlines route cuts the airline forgot to mention (check your bookings)
Last week, American Airlines proudly announced that it planned to launch five new seasonal routes to Europe next summer and that it was expanding the season on four of its other European routes 'to give customers more time to see the sights'. What American Airlines failed to mention was that the changes it was making to its schedules weren't all positive, so the news that it was also making cuts to some routes didn't make the press release.
Now earn cash back at two more Marriott brands (Targeted Limited-Time Offers)
Last week, we wrote about three Chase limited-time targeted promotions that had appeared for stays at Renaissance Hotels, TownePlace Suites and Aloft Hotels, but since then it looks like two more targeted promotions for stays at Marriott bands have appeared. One has an incredible short booking window but is quite generous, while the other has a longer booking window but isn't quite as valuable. Both may be useful.
Now live: Marriott’s two promotions for stays through 26 November 2024
A few weeks ago, Marriott announced two promotions that would run until 26 November 2024, so this is your reminder that as of today, both promotions are live. Registration is required for both promotions so if you haven't done so already, you should probably head over to Marriott.com and do that right now.
Etihad adds two new European routes and add flights to Zurich
Compared to what it was (and what it aimed to be) five or six years ago, Etihad is now a much smaller airline, but the past couple of years has seen the airline adding more routes and growing its network and we now know to expect two new routes to Europe from summer 2025.
IHG One Rewards is sending out anniversary special offers
I've been a member of IHG One Rewards (in one form of another) since the universe was nothing more than a very dense, very small, extremely hot single point, and I don't recall ever receiving an anniversary bonus of any kind from the loyalty program.
IHG One Rewards anniversary bonuses are, however, a thing, and I know this because Joanna just had one drop into her inbox.
Were you targeted for this Hyatt road warrior promotion? (up to 90,000 bonus points on offer)
Recently, a reader recently sent us a link to a Hyatt promotion that we weren't aware was available, so as we know of someone who hasn't been told they had been targeted but was able to register, I thought we'd mention it in case anyone reading this is in the same position (i.e. eligible but blissfully unaware).
How to upgrade a British Airways booking with Avios (a step-by-step guide)
Compared to a lot of major airlines, British Airways makes it relatively easy for passengers to upgrade their bookings to the next cabin of service, so as upgrades can be one of the better ways to get good value out of an Avios balance, here's a simple step by step guide to show how you can upgrade an existing British Airways booking with Avios.
Cathay Pacific now offers complimentary wifi in Business Class
Cathay Pacific has offered free wifi to First Class passengers since 2022, but as it doesn't really fly very many First Class passengers any more, that hasn't been much of a concession from the airline. I'm sure its income statement has been able to handle the hit with relative ease.
Award Sale: Get 25% off Singapore Airlines award bookings
No, this isn't an article about the KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes deals that we see every month (those deals should appear in a week's time). This a KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale in which the travel window is wider and the restrictions slightly different.
