On Friday, I wrote about the great new flight options that Southwest will be giving the residents of Southern California when it launches 7 new routes out of Long Beach at the beginning of March. Today I’m quickly going to go over the details of five more new routes that Southwest will be launching out of California in April.

Southwest’s New Santa Barbara Routes

From 12 April 2021 Southwest will be adding three new routes out of Santa Barbara. As things stand, this is what the schedules look like:

Denver

Southwest will operate this route daily from 12 April.

WN216 SBA 12:25 – 16:00 DEN (Daily)
WN31 DEN 10:05 – 11:50 SBA (Daily)

This route is currently showing one-way fares from $110 (both from Santa Barbara and Denver).

Las Vegas

Southwest will operate this route 3x/day from 12 April.

WN691 SBA 07:00 – 08:15 LAS (Daily)
WN812 SBA 11:40 – 12:55 LAS (Daily)
WN1548 SBA 17:00 – 18:15 LAS (Daily)

WN811 LAS 09:45 – 11:00 SBA (Daily)
WN817 LAS 15:10 – 16:25 SBA (Daily)
WN1758 LAS 20:40 – 21:55 SBA (Daily)

This route is currently showing one-way fares from $50 (both from Santa Barbara and Las Vegas).

Oakland

Southwest will operate this route daily from 12 April.

WN521 SBA 13:30 – 14:45 OAK (Daily)
WN344 OAK 11:45 – 12:55 SBA (Daily)

This route is currently showing one-way fares from $50 (both from Santa Barbara and Oakland).

Southwest’s New Fresno Routes

As important (if not quite as glamorous) as the routes from Santa Barbara, as Southwest’s new routes from Fresno which are scheduled to launch on 25 April 2021. Two new routes are on the way and both are to destinations that will look familiar! Here’s what the current schedules look like:

Denver

Southwest will operate this route daily from 25 April.

WN833 FAT 12:45 – 16:00 DEN (Daily)
WN828 DEN 10:45 – 12:05 FAT (Daily)

This route is currently showing one-way fares from $58 (both from Fresno and Denver).

Las Vegas

Southwest will operate this route 3x/day from 25 April.

WN836 FAT 07:00 – 08:05 LAS (Daily)
WN1112 FAT 11:20 – 12:30 LAS (Daily)
WN1265 FAT 17:00 – 18:10 LAS (Daily)

WN870 LAS 09:55 – 10:45 FAT (Daily)
WN1113 LAS 15:00 – 16:15 FAT (Daily)
WN1395 LAS 20:50 – 21:55 FAT (Daily)

This route is currently showing one-way fares from $50 (both from Fresno and Las Vegas).

Keep In Mind

All three of the personal Southwest Credit cards often offer impressive welcome offers that could help a cardholder go a long way to earning Southwest’s valuable companion pass with very little effort. If you think you’re going to be using Southwest with any kind of frequency in the coming 12 months then you should probably seriously considering adding one of these cards to your wallet (if you haven’t already got one).

Bottom Line

Southwest will be launching three new routes from Santa barbara from 12 April 2021 and two new routes out of Fresno. With roundtrip fares on these routes starting from $50, the good news for Southwest fans living in California keeps getting better.
