I often write about various the Amex offers I see appear on my American Express cards because I see these offers as a great way to earn back a little of the annual fee I pay on each card (or just an extra bonus on the cards that come with no annual fee).

There have been a few worthwhile Amex offers doing the rounds of late with Hilton featuring heavily in the US, a rare offer on Hilton properties in Europe, a fantastic deal for anyone looking to buy some Rimowa luggage and, just recently, deals for fans of Marriott and MGM Resorts.

All these deals have had their own posts here on Traveling for Miles but there are three other deals that I haven’t yet written about and I’d like to put that right here and now.

Amex Offer 1 – Earn 15,000 Membership Rewards Points At Four Seasons

Here’s the headline offer…

Get 15,000 additional Membership Rewards points 1X by using your enrolled Card to spend US$750+ on room rate/charges at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts or a Private Retreats villa or residence from 6/13/19 to 9/16/19.

…and here are the more important terms and conditions:

  • Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
  • Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible.
  • Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
  • Offer valid for eligible U.S. Card Members for purchases at one of the participating properties in the Four Seasons Private Retreats Collection of luxury home rentals in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Anguilla and Saint Kitts and Nevis. Offer also available at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties in the same locations, plus the Bahamas.
  • Reservations must be made online at U.S. website fourseasons.com or in-person.
  • Excludes Four Seasons Gift Cards purchased online.
  • Not valid for Four Seasons eGift Card purchases.
  • Excludes any service or amenity not charged to a room, third party bookings, Four Seasons Private Jet, The Four Seasons Beds, Four Seasons Magazine subscriptions and other amenities.
  • Offer only valid on room rate and room charges.

The full terms can be found alongside the offer in your American Express account (assuming you’ve been targeted for the offer)

Thoughts

It’s interesting to note that the terms are very specific about excluding online Gift Card purchases and eGift card purchases so that makes me wonder if it’s possible to buy physical Gift Cards at participating Four Season locations and have that trigger the statement credit (I suspect this would only work if the gift card purchase was charged to a room) – if anyone knows the definitive answer to this please let me know in the comments.

I value 15,000 Membership Rewards points at a conservative $225 so this looks like a very good deal indeed.

By my valuation, Amex is offering a rebate of up to 30% at participating Four Seasons properties and, as I know a lot of people put a higher valuation than me on Membership Rewards Points, that rebate will be higher for some.

Amex Offer 2 – Get $75 Back On Hyatt Place/Hyatt House Stays

Here’s the headline offer…

…and here are the more important terms and conditions:

  • Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
  • Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
  • Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
  • Offer valid only at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels in the U.S. and U.S. Territories.

Thoughts

It feels like Hyatt has been making a concerted effort to spread the word about its Hyatt Place/Hyatt house properties this year (there was a promotion offering extra bonus points for HP/HF stays earlier this year) so I’m not surprised to see this offer pop up in one of my Amex accounts.

A statement credit of $75 represents a rebate of up to 30% in this deal and as that’s a rebate in cold hard cash that’s not bad going.

It’s a shame that the offer is restricted to properties in the US and US Territories as the Hyatt Place/Hyatt House brands have been expanding overseas significantly of late and it would have been nice to use this offer while trying out one of the newer properties.

Still, this should be a very good offer for anyone looking to save some cash on an upcoming stay so make sure you check your Amex account(s) to see if you’ve been targeted.

Amex Offer 3 – Get $50 Back On Omni Hotel & Resort Stays

  • Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
  • Offer only valid at Omni Hotels & Resorts in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Thoughts

I can’t claim to have very much experience with Omni Hotels & Resorts (they’re not part of major loyalty program of which I can take advantage) but the properties look nice and, as all but them appear to be here in North America, there’s no big issue with the Amex offer restricting the statement credit to properties in the US, Canada, and Mexico 🙂

The $50 credit that’s on offer is probably the weakest of the three offers in this post as it’s, at most, a 25% rebate….but that’s still pretty good if you’re not booking a long stay or an expensive resort.

Bottom Line

All three of these Amex rebates offer pretty good rebates at properties/brands that I suspect a lot of readers already stay at so you should check your American Express accounts and add these offers to your cards.

I suggest doing this sooner rather than later as each of the three offers only allows ‘limited enrolment’ so there’s no knowing what that limit is, when that limit will be reached and when Amex will pull the offer.
