Flying Blue has released its Promo Awards for February 2025 which cover travel through 31 July 2025 and as usual, you can now book select Air France and KLM awards with a 25% discount.
This month, we have a mixed offering from Flying Blue, but it’s mostly disappointing.
On the one hand, we have quite a few destinations to choose from and there are a number of short-haul and long-haul Business Class awards available (12 in total) … but some of the long-haul options will only be of interest to a very niche market segment
On the other hand, Economy Class short-haul awards now start at 7,500 miles (up by 33% from 5,625 miles), Business Class short-haul awards now start at 18,750 miles (up by 25% from 15,000 miles) and Economy Class long-haul awards now start at 22,500 miles (up by 50% from 15,000 miles) and none of that is good news.
Also, there are no Premium Economy Promo Awards, none of the long-haul Business Class Promo Awards touch North America and the Business Class awards that are available appear to be priced at 27.5% more than the comparable awards last time out.

Promo Awards key terms

- Promo reward tickets must be booked via airfrance.com or klm.com or on the respective airline apps (except for bookings for minors travelling alone or when travelling with an infant under the age of 2, in these cases bookings must be made by calling customer service).
- Changes (flight and/or date) are possible before flight departure (check-in closure) for a €70 fee plus possible fare difference. Miles and tax/surcharges paid for the changed segment(s) will be reaccredited to the account holder and a new booking for the adjusted flight/date will be made (including re-payment for the tax/surcharges).
- Refunds are possible before flight departure (check-in closure) for a €70 fee. Miles will be reaccredited to the account holder in case of a cancellation.
- Promo reward tickets are subject to the operating airline’s general conditions of carriage.

Bottom line
Flying Blue has released details of its February 2025 Promo Awards which cover travel through 31 July 2025 and which must be booked by 28 February 2025.
As usual, unless you’re in the group of people who happens to want to fly some of the more niche routes that Air France/KLM operate, the main sweet spots this month may be the Economy Class awards between North America and Europe which now cost 18,750 miles + surcharges.
The Business Class fares to/from Havana may be of particular interest to flyers whose governments don’t consider Cuba to be a terrorist nation (don’t get me started on that!) but, primarily, I think the long-haul Economy Class fares will be of most interest as these deals cover multiple periods during which kids will be out of school and when cash fares will be high.
