As the travel world continues to recover from the shock of the past two years and airlines start to see demand claiming back towards levels last seen in 2019, Etihad has brought back its stopover deals for travelers transiting through Abu Dhabi.

Properties covered by this promotion include:

40% off at the Park Hyatt could be a very, very nice deal. I visited this property a few years ago and loved the relaxed atmosphere, the pool, and the huge beach. The complimentary suite upgrade that my Globalist status gave me probably makes me a little biased but I’d happily return with no status at all.

Full terms and conditions can be found on the promotion page.

How to book

Step 1 – Book a multi-city flight in Economy, Business, or First, connecting through Abu Dhabi.

Step 2 – Check hotel availability for your chosen promotion on this page (you’ll need your Etihad booking reference or e-ticket number) and from there. Etihad will do the rest.

That’s it!

Bottom line

Etihad has brought back its stopover packages and added a third choice (‘Transit Connect’) that I don’t recall having seen before. If you’re transiting through Abu Dhabi, these offers can offer a very economical way to break up your journey and if you haven’t been to Abu Dhabi before, to see a new country. Better still, with properties like the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi available under the ‘Best of Abu Dhabi’ option, you can even enjoy a bit of luxury at a discounted rate.
