Back on 12 March Hilton made a customer-friendly change to its change/cancellation fee policy when, amongst other things, it added all the EU countries to the list of destinations where change and cancellation fees are being waived and where refunds are being offered. As of yesterday, that policy got even better.
Earlier today I wrote about IHG Rewards taking the decision to lower its requirements for earning elite status in 2020 in the face of the travel chaos that's engulfing the world and now Hilton has stepped up with its own set of changes to help alleviate its guests' concerns.
American Express has been very generous with the number off Hilton offers it has been publishing since the start of the year and the procession of offers continued earlier today when two new Amex Hilton offers started appearing in targeted cardholder accounts.
In the middle of last month, Amex started targeting cardholders for bonus Membership Rewards points on select properties/brands in the Hilton portfolio and now, while those original offers are still live, two more Hilton offers have appeared in targeted accounts.
The Amex offers that every cardholder has access to can be a great way to save some money and to recoup some of the annual fees you may have paid and right now Amex is offering a number of deals for Hilton bookings through to the end of March.
Right now there are at least five good Hilton Amex offers available to targeted cardholders and with the holiday season rapidly approaching (a time when a lot of people take trips) and four of the five deals expiring at the end of the year, I thought I'd remind readers of what these offers look like.
Hot on the heels of a truly fantastic offer for travel on Air France American Express is now targeting some of its cardholders for a very nice deal at select Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties around the world.
Although I have a base in LA, I still find myself using the hotels at LAX when I have very early flights to catch or when I’m just passing through for a few hours. On a recent trip, I found myself booked into the Hilton on West Century Boulevard, a short shuttle ride from the airport terminals.
Conrad hotels make up most of my favorite Hilton properties around the world (even as a lowly Gold member I really liked the Conrad Singapore) so it’s always good news when a promotion comes along that allows guests to save at a significant number of Conrads around the world…and that’s what we have right now.
Hilton is currently running a great sale for stays in the Asia-Pacific region but, for reasons that only Hilton can explain, it has made the sale appear worse than it actually is.
