Choice Hotels, one of the newer transfer partners for the Citi ThankYou program, has launched a new promotion in which it's offering members of its free-to-join Privileges loyalty program, double points on stays taken through 31 December 2021.

Citi's ThankYou points are one of the four major transferable currencies used in the miles and points world and the ThankYou program just got a little better with Citi adding Choice Privileges as its first hotel transfer partner. Better yet, the ratio for transfers between Citi and Choice can be more favorable than a lot of people may expect.

Choice Hotels has just announced an extension to a promotion that I have to admit I hadn't noticed up until now. The hotelier is offering up to 40% off stays at select all-inclusive resorts in its portfolio as well as bonus points, resort credits and free stays for kids.

Choice Hotels is currently running a couple of promotions that should stack together very nicely. The first promotion is offering between 20% and 30% off stays taken by the end of the year (US only), while the second promotion is offering 2,000 or 5,000 points depending on the number of nights you stay by the end of the year.

Airline and hotel shopping portals can be a very good source of miles and points from everyday spending but the cashback portals can be an equally good tool for saving money....especially when they offer deals as good as these.
