Qatar Airways is launching monthly Avios discount deals (first batch now live)

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is following in the footsteps of Flying Blue and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer by launching discounted award deals (in Economy Class and Business Class) that will appear monthly and which will offer a 25% discount on select routes.

The first set of deals is now live.

The deal

For the time being, this deal is a bit of a mess as there’s no obvious landing page on the Qatar Airways website and the award flight calendars (where you can see availability for a whole month) aren’t working at all, but the first set of deals is definitely bookable now and this is what you need to know.

• You must book through Qatar Airways.
• You must book by 14 August 2026.
• You must travel between 5 August and 30 September 2026.
• Deals are valid for one-way or roundtrip travel.
• Prices shown are for off-peak dates. Discounts are available on peak dates as well but the awards will cost more.
• The discount does not apply to Flexi Avios bookings.
• The deals are only available on Qatar Airways operated flights, not on partner airlines.

Business Class deals (one-way pricing)

• Riyadh to/from Doha was 14,000 Avios, now 10,500 Avios 
• Cairo to/from Doha was 26,000 Avios, now 19,500 Avios
• Colombo to/from Doha was 35,000 Avios, now 26,250 Avios
• Jakarta to/from Doha was 60,000 Avios, now 45,000 Avios
• Berlin to/from Doha was 43,000 Avios, now 32,250 Avios
• Warsaw to/from Doha was 43,000 Avios, now 32,250 Avios

Taxes and fees will be added to these deals.

Economy Class deals (one-way pricing)

• Riyadh to/from Doha was 7,000 Avios, now 5,250 Avios
• Amman to/from Doha was 13,000 Avios, now 9,750 Avios
• Munich to/from Doha was 21,500 Avios, now 16,125 Avios
• Geneva to/from Doha was 21,500 Avios, now 16,125 Avios
• Larnaca to/from Doha was 17,500 Avios, now 13,125 Avios

Taxes and fees will be added to these deals.

Amazingly, the discount applies to the whole itinerary

A big tip of the hat to Rob at Head for Points for discovering this as it’s something that makes these deals a lot more interesting than they may otherwise be.

As long as you’re flying to/from a city that’s listed in this sale, a discount will apply to the whole booking, including the sector(s) that isn’t (aren’t) in the sale at all.

That means that, technically, you can get 25% off a Business Class or Economy Class booking to or from almost anywhere on the Qatar Airways network, as long as your trip starts or ends in Riyadh, Cairo, Colombo, Jakarta, Berlin, Warsaw (for Business Class) and Riyadh, Amman, Munich, Geneva or Larnaca (for Economy Class) and as long as you travel within the sale window.

I use the word “technically” for good reason, because while I’ll show you examples of what is possible below, availability can be hard to find, so don’t expect to get a discount on whatever routing you feel like flying with great ease.

Here are three examples we were able to price out.

Paris to Cairo in Business Class normally costs 55,000 Avios plus taxes and fees one-way in off-peak season.

For travel during the sale period, we found it bookable for 41,250 Avios plus taxes and fees.

Sure, that’s quite the convoluted way to get to Cairo from Paris, but it’s an example of how you can start your journey in a city that’s not mentioned in this month’s deals and still get a 25% discount.

Here’s another example:

Madrid to Riyadh in Business Class normally costs 45,000 Avios plus taxes and fees one-way in off-peak season.

On select dates, and there don’t appear to be many of them, this can be booked for 33,750 Avios plus taxes and fees.

And finally, just to prove this isn’t something limited to departures from Europe …

Kuala Lumpur to Berlin in Business Class normally costs 75,000 Avios plus taxes and fees one-way in off-peak season.

For travel during the sale period, we found it bookable for 56,250 Avios plus taxes and fees.

That’s a fantastic deal, but as I said earlier, availability on these longer itineraries appears to be limited, so you’re going to need a bit of luck and/or a bit of flexibility with dates if you’re going to lock in one of these deals.

Finding the deals

The easiest way to find the deals to/from Doha is by using the award search from your Qatar Airways Privilege Club dashboard (you’ll need to log in) as, assuming you select “flexible dates”, that seems to bring up a working calendar which will show you award availability by month.

From there you can select the dates that work best for you and carry on from there.

If you try to do the same thing for itineraries that pass through Doha (like the ones shown a little earlier), there’s a strong chance that you’ll run into the same issue as we did with the calendar showing no award availability on any date (perhaps Qatar Airways is using the British Airways IT department right now?).

Unfortunately, this will mean having to do searches on individual dates to see what appears (that’s how we got the screenshots we posted earlier), but if you find one of these deals, the extra effort will be worth it.

Quick thoughts

It’s great to see Qatar Airways starting to offer deals like this (apparently, this will be a monthly thing), but I wish the airline would get its act together and (a) inform Privilege Club members that these deals are available in a timely manner (this launched yesterday and I haven’t received an email telling me about it) and (b) give us a landing page showing what the deals are. We’re not psychic!

Now that I’ve got my mini-rant out of the way, I have to concede that some of these deals look very good, and as long as Qatar Airways doesn’t close down our ability to add on additional sectors while still getting a discount, this could be a very useful way to save on a last minute trip.

Sure, it would be nice if we could still use our Avios to book trips for others as easily as was once possible (I still think that was overkill), and it would be nice if the deals covered a longer travel window, but this is a lot better than nothing (which is what we had before), so let’s hope we see the number of routes on which these deals are available increase as the months go by.

Bottom line

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is now offering a 25% Avios discount across eleven routes to and from Doha with Business Class and Economy Class both included.

This set of deals need to be booked by 14 August 2026 and travel must take place between now and 30 September 2026.

Importantly, the listed routes are only part of the story because, as long as your trip starts or ends in one of the sale cities, the discount carries across the whole itinerary and that can lead to some fantastic deals.
