IHG has had a “One More Night” sale running for quite a few weeks in which its offering IHG One Rewards members a free night for every two paid nights (up to 20 paid nights) and as we don't seem to have covered it and as the sale still has some time to run, I thought it was worth putting out a reminder.

IHG has had a “One More Night” sale running for quite a few weeks in which its offering IHG One Rewards members a free night for every two paid nights (up to 20 paid nights) and as we don’t seem to have covered it and as the sale still has some time to run, I thought it was worth putting out a reminder.

The sale

As a member of IHG One Rewards (free to join), stay 3 nights, pay for 2. Stay 6 nights, pay for 4. Stay up to 30 nights and enjoy up to 10 nights free.

Key terms

  • The 2026 Stay 3 Pay 2 offer is valid for bookings made by 15 September 2026 (inclusive) for stays made by 30 September 2026 (inclusive), using the “Stay 3 Pay 2” rate.
  • The discount is applied off the participating hotel’s Best Flexible Rate (an unrestricted, non-qualified, non-discounted rate).
  • Members book a consecutive 3-night stay and pay for 2 nights at the same participating hotel. The whole stay must be on the same booking, and unused nights can’t be carried over or credited to other bookings.
  • Minimum stay of 3 consecutive nights. Maximum stay of 30 nights, though some hotels may cap it lower.
  • Bookings must be made at least 3 days before check-in and can be amended or cancelled up to 3 days before check-in without penalty. Cancel within 72 hours of arrival (or no-show) and you’ll be charged one night’s room rate.
  • Valid at participating hotels in Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Austria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Egypt, England, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malta, Mauritius, Nepal, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Scotland, Tanzania, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe.

  • IHG Army Hotels, InterContinental Alliance Resorts and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts are excluded.
  • Certain room and suite types may be excluded, blackout dates may apply at some hotels, and tax, service charges and credit card surcharges are not included.

Full terms and conditions can be found on the sale page.

Quick thoughts

There are four key things to recognize here:

Firstly and as usual, the discounts are based on the best flexible rate which is often not the cheapest rate that IHG publishes, so the effective saving won’t always be as good as it looks on paper. As always with these IHG sales, check the flexible rate against IHG’s other published rates before you assume you’re getting a deal.

Secondly, a genuine stay 3 nights, pay for 2 can be very nice, and it’s good to see that this one doesn’t stop at three nights. Six for four works too, and it scales all the way up.

That being said, I doubt many readers will be getting anywhere near the top of the scale. Stay 30 nights, pay for 20 sounds good, but how many people are actually booking 30 nights in a premium room?

Thirdly, this sale rate has some flexibility to it and we’re starting to see this more and more with the IHG deals that we’ve been seeing. Anyone booking this rate can amend or cancel their booking up to 3 days before check-in without penalty, so you’re not locked in to a non-refundable booking like you could have been with a lot of past sales.

Fourthly, this sale is for suites and premium rooms only, so this won’t help you if you’re hoping to book a standard entry-level room (this sale, however, may help out). But if you were already going to book a suite or a premium room at a participating property, this sale may be able to help you knock up to a third off the cost of your stay.

Finally, to be on the safe side, use the sale page to search for deals as the main IHG.com site doesn’t appear to offer the ‘Member Sale – Suites and Premium Rooms’ rate option.

Selecting the “best available” rate on IHG.com may get you the same results, but why take the chance?

As is often the case with these sales, I haven’t had the time to perform some searches to see what the deals look like, but the fact that the rates being booked offer quite a bit of flexibility and the fact that 6 nights for the price of 4 is on offer as well as 3 nights for the price of 2, makes this look interesting … although interesting only if you’re happy booking a premium room.

Bottom line

IHG is still running a “book x nights and get y nights free” deal on suites and premium room bookings at participating properties in Europe, Middle East, Africa & India. The offer is available for bookings made by 15 September 2026 and on stays that are made by 30 September 2026.

The rate is based on the best flexible rate rather than IHG’s cheapest published rate, so you’re not necessarily going to get a 3 for 2 deal on the very cheapest rate that IHG is offering, but unlike a lot of other sales, this one lets you cancel up to 3 days out, so you’re not committing to a non-refundable stay to get the discount.
