British Airways refreshing Business Class amenity kits on Heathrow routes (has hell frozen over?)

While airlines like Qatar Airways and Emirates seem to change out their long-haul amenity kits a couple of times a year, British Airways seems to go the other way. Its Premium Economy kits were first introduced back in 2019 and the White Company business class kits currently offered on its Heathrow long-haul routes feel like they have been with us longer than the internet (I think they debuted in 2017).

All of this explains my surprise when I recently noticed a British Airways Facebook post announcing the arrival of “new Club World amenity kits launching next month”.

New British Airways Heathrow routes amenity kits

A little surprisingly, there’s not much information given about the new kits in the Facebook post and at the time of writing, there hasn’t been a press release about this either. All we seem to be being told is this:

“Your long-haul journey from Heathrow just got an upgrade with new Club World amenity kits launching next month. Featuring four designs by British artists, the amenity kits are stocked with luxury anatomē products, carefully curated to support rest and wellbeing in the skies.

Fortunately, it didn’t take too much digging to discover why there isn’t much of a fanfare surrounding these new amenity kits. It turns out that they’re not really very new at all.

Back in October 2025, British Airways unveiled what it called “a new limited-edition range of amenity kits in its Club World (long-haul business class) cabin, launching exclusively for London Gatwick flights“, and if you take a look at the kits from the recent Facebook post (above) and the kits from the October press release (below), you should notice a similarity.

It appears that these amenity kits are no longer limited edition nor are they now exclusive to BA’s Gatwick flights.

Three of the bags look to have new imagery, but given the absence of much more information from British Airways, it’s probably fair to assume that the contents won’t have changed, so this is what Heathrow flyers can expect:

A bespoke 10ml moisturiser and a 3ml multi balm from anatomē, produced especially for British Airways, as well as ear plugs, a dental kit, an eye mask and socks. Still no pen.

The skincare products.

A the October launch, Calum Laming, the airline’s Chief Customer Officer, was quoted as saying:

“At British Airways we’re always looking to innovate for our customers, and, like our new global lounge concept and cabins, as well as our marketing campaigns and safety videos, we set out to signal a new direction, creating something bold and original, modern and unexpected that would surprise and delight our customers. We’re confident we’ve achieved that with this collaboration with outstanding homegrown British talent and wellness products by anatomē.

“The kits have been designed to be enjoyed during and after the flight. They’re ideal for reuse – whether as a travel pouch or an everyday carry-all. We’ve worked with anatomē to choose products that are both ultra-hydrating and relaxing, and we can’t wait to share them with our customers on board.”

I know absolutely nothing about the anatomē brand (I had never heard of it before noticing this news out of BA), but the costs of a selection of its products that I found online seem be in line with (or are a little more expensive than) similar products offered by the White Company (the current supplier of the skincare products in BA’s amenity kits), so this has the feel of a like-for-like replacement or perhaps, a very slight upgrade, I’m not sure.

Overall, I’m not sure what to make of these new(ish) kits.

Some of the designs look a bit too garish for my liking, but if the bags are going to feel less like whatever it is the current White Company kit bags feel like (is plastic-y a word?), this may actually be an improvement that’s coming to BA’s Heathrow routes.

If any readers have flown in BA Business Class out of Gatwick in the past eight months (my commiserations if you have) and have first hand knowledge of what these kits are like, please let us know in the comments.

What we don’t know right now is what this means for the British Airways First Class amenity kit (will this be changing or will the current Temperley bag + Elemis products remain?) and we don’t what, if anything, this means for the Business Class bedding which, just like the outgoing amenity kits, is currently supplied by the White Company.

Speaking of bedding …

As a side note to the Facebook post about the new/not-so-new amenity kits, British Airways has said that “customers travelling in World Traveller [BA’s Economy Class] will now benefit from a new pillow and blanket set, designed to support a more restful journey.”

New pillow and blanket for Economy Class.

To be fair to BA, that looks like a sizeable pillow (by Economy Class standards) and one that, on the face of things, looks a lot better than what flyers are offered in a lot of other Economy Class cabins. Of course, PR images can often be quite different to what is served up onboard, so we’ll just have to wait and see what these are like once customers get to try them out.

Bottom line

For while now, I have assumed that I’m as likely to see pigs flying as I am to see British Airways changing out its Heathrow Business Class amenity kits, but it looks like I was wrong (although I may check FlightRadar24 just to be sure there are no low-flying pigs in my area).

Starting next month, British Airways long-haul Business Class customers flying out of Heathrow should start to see new amenity kits being handed out. Well, they’re not really new because they have been appearing on ex-Gatwick flights since October last year, but given that the current Heathrow amenity kits have been around for longer than the airline has flown its A350s or 787-10s, let’s gloss over that fact and just be thankful that the BA Business Class experience out of Heathrow is getting a very minor refresh.
