Apparently designed to dovetail with the upcoming global promotion, IHG One Rewards is targeting select members for a second promotion in which they can earn up to 10 extra elite night credits before the end of the year.
The promotion
Earn one bonus elite night credit after each qualifying room night stay during the promotion period up to a maximum of 10 bonus elite night credits.

- The promotional offer provides you with an opportunity to earn one bonus elite night credit for each offer-qualifying room night stayed during the offer period, up to a maximum of ten (10) bonus elite night credits.
- For each bonus elite night credit you earn under the offer, you will be credited with an additional Elite Qualifying Night for purposes of determining Elite membership status and Milestone Rewards earned under the IHG One Rewards program in 2025.
- Bonus elite night credits do not qualify as Rollover Nights or as Qualifying Nights for any other purpose or benefit under the IHG One Rewards program.
- To participate in this Offer, you must be an IHG One Rewards member and must be invited to participate (this is a targeted promotion).
- After receiving an invitation, you must register your member number in advance in order to be eligible for the Offer.
- Members can pre-register for this Offer between September 15 and September 30, 2025.
- The promotion period is from October 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.
- Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the offer during the promotion period.
- The member must register before completing any stays during the promotion period in order for them to count towards the offer.
- Room nights outside of the promotion period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Offer also are not included.
- For purposes of this offer, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate with total spend exceeding USD $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night.
- Participating hotels include all IHG Hotels & Resorts, with the exception of those Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that do not participate in the IHG One Rewards program.
- Stays booked using Reward Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this offer.
- Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this offer.
Quick thoughts
This is a targeted offer and IHG is emailing members to let them know that they have been chosen to participate, but just because you didn’t get an email doesn’t necessarily mean that you haven’t been selected – I didn’t receive an email and I’ve managed to register and had an email confirming that I’m registered.

As far as the promotion goes, there’s not much to it. You just have to remember two things: The promotion starts on 1 October (so don’t expect any September stays to earn bonus elite nights credits) and register before you stay (nights stayed before registration won’t earn 2x elite night credits).
In the grand scheme of things, 10 bonus elite night credits may not seem like much, but it could be the difference between one status level and the next and, even if you’re not chasing IHG One Rewards elite status, these bonus elite nights could be the difference between earning a milestone bonus and just falling short.
Someone starting this promotion with zero nights spent at IHG properties this year can now earn a confirmable suite upgrade with just 10 nights in 92 days.
