Delta has announced that it plans to open a new Sky Club at Phoenix Sky Harbour International airport in 2018. As things stand Delta flyers don’t have a Sky Club in Phoenix and the closest Priority Pass lounge is in a neighbouring terminal so this should be good news for Delta flyers.

The new Delta Sky Club in Phoenix will be 7,500 square feet in size and will be located near the Delta gates in Terminal 3.

According to Delta the lounge is set to feature the following:

  • Design inspired by the Southwest desert landscape, with earth tones and rich colors
  • Seasonal, locally inspired cuisine and customizable food offerings like the SkyBowl, where guests can build their own bowl choosing from grains, vegetables and proteins
  • A full-service, complimentary bar that features seasonal cocktails and wine selected by Delta’s Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson
  • Artwork throughout the Delta Sky Club from Phoenix-based and regional artists
  • Comfortable seating, Wi-Fi and easily accessible power outlets at nearly every seat

Delta hasn’t given any specifics regarding an opening date for the new lounge but it has gone as far as to say that we can expect the Phoenix Sky Club to be open in “late 2018”.

Delta is the only US legacy carrier not to offer a lounge in Phoenix (American Airlines has 3 in Terminal 4 courtesy of the merger with US Airways and United has a “United Club” in Terminal 2) so the addition of a Sky Club to Phoenix Terminal 3 is probably overdue.
