A number of hotel chains are currently running promotions so as some have been around for a while and as some are quite new, we’ve rounded them all up into a concise article so that you can see what’s on offer and where.

Please note that we haven’t included the terms and conditions for these promotions so before you go ahead and try to make the most of these deals, make sure you read the promotion page carefully.

Best Western

Stay 2 nights, get a free night for your next stay.

Stay 2 nights from 5 February through 5 May 2024 at any Best Western hotel in the US, Canada or Caribbean Islands and receive a free night award valid at any Best Western branded hotel in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean Islands.

TFM comment: Only 1 free night award can be earned by a Best Western Rewards member during the promotion period, and the free night award redemption is subject to hotel availability, so don’t make the mistake of thinking that by staying 4 nights you’ll earn 2 free nights or that award availability won’t pay into this.

Choice Hotels

Stay 2x, get a free night.

Complete two qualifying stays by 30 April 2024 and earn 8,000 bonus Choice points which are enough points to redeem toward a free night at select brands.

TFM comment: The name of this promotion is a bit misleading because it doesn’t make it obvious that the free night comes in the form of points, and that the points on offer aren’t enough to book any Choice Hotel.

Also, be aware that members of Choice Rewards may only take advantage of this offer up four times during the offer period.

Hilton

Earn 2,000 bonus points on every stay and a further 500 bonus points when you use Hilton’s Digital Key option.

Offer valid for stays completed by 1 May 2024 at any hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.

TFM comment: We have written about this promotion in more detail here.

Hyatt

At the time of writing, Hyatt hasn’t officially announced a new global promotion, but details of an upcoming promotion appear to have been leaked.

This is the promotion we think is on the way:

Earn 3,000 bonus World of Hyatt points for every 3 nights stayed between 1 March and 30 April 2024. A maximum 21,000 bonus points can be earned through this offer.

Holders of the World of Hyatt Credit Card and the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card can earn a further 1,000 bonus points for every 3 nights stayed at properties in 18 select destinations. A maximum 7,000 bonus points can be earned through this offer.

TFM comment: With a relatively weak promotion on the horizon and with the Hyatt/SLH partnership all but over, it’s lean times for World of Hyatt members right now.

IHG

IHG doesn’t currently have a global promotion in progress, but it’s offering at least two targeted promotions (check your emails).

Targeted promotion 1: Earn 2,000 bonus points for every 2 nights you stay at IHG properties worldwide (cash stays only).

Targeted promotion 2: Earn 8,000 bonus points for every 4 nights you stay at IHG properties worldwide (cash stays only).

TFM comment: Registration is required for both promotions but as the registration links are targeted to individual IHG One Rewards members, if you didn’t receive an email, you’re out of luck.

Marriott

a beach with huts and a body of water

Earn 1,000 bonus Bonvoy points and 1 bonus elite night credit on each eligible paid night taken between 13 February and 29 April 2024.

TFM comment: Unusually, it looks like Marriott has the best promotion on offer right now (be aware that it doesn’t go live for another few days), and as neither the number of bonus points or the number of bonus elite night credits that you can earn are capped, this promotion could represent an easy path to valuable Marriott elite status (especially if you already have a significant number of elite night credits thanks to one or more co-branded credit cards).

We have written about this promotion in more detail here.

Radisson

a building with a sign in front of it

Unlock up to 7,000 bonus points for your next 3 stays.

Stay at any Radisson properties by 26 March 2024 and earn 500 bonus points on the first stay, 3,000 bonus points on the second stay, and earn 3,500 bonus points on the third stay.

TFM comment: It’s hard to get excited by the offer as it’s relatively unrewarding (multiple devaluations have mostly destroyed what value Radisson points once had), and as this offer can only be used once per Radisson Rewards member during the offer period, there’s no scope to scale up the bonus points that you can earn.

Bottom line

Hyatt isn’t running any promotions and IHG is only offering targeted promotions, so that’s the disappointing news here. The more positive news is that Hilton, Marriott, Best Western and Choice are all making some effort to attract more visitors, and Marriott, in particular, has come up with a really great promotion that should keep Bonvoy fans happy.

  1. On the Radisson promo, pls note that all US Radissons went over to Choice Hotels rewards in 2023, so the promo only applies to some non-US Radisson locations, show in the ‘fine print’
