While we currently have nine targeted offers for stays at various Marriott brands (see here and here), Chase offers for IHG stays have been noticeably absent since the beginning of February.

That, however, has just changed and select cardholders should now be able to see a new offer in their accounts that’s valid at IHG properties worldwide.

The offer

This latest offer comes courtesy of Chase and not American Express, so if you’re used to Chase offers, you’ll know that this means that you don’t have much time to trigger the rebate.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Earn 10% cash back on your IHG Hotels & Resorts stay when you spend $100 or more, with a $57.00 cash back maximum.
• Valid at IHG’s 6,000 global destinations and 19 brands including Hotel Indigo, Kimpton, InterContinental and Hotel Indigo.
• Offer expires 5/20/2024.
• Offer valid one time only.
• Complete payment for your stay must be made by 5/20/2024.
• Offer only valid at IHG® brands.
• Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later).

Quick thoughts

There are two bits of good news here.

Firstly, this isn’t an Amex offer so the rebate isn’t limited to properties in North America.

Secondly, if you can make the most of this deal you may also be able to make the most of the current IHG promotion which is offering 2,000 bonus points for every two qualifying nights (registration required).

Annoyingly, there’s bad news too – payment needs to be made by 20 May (so targeted cardholders don’t have much time to lock in the rebate) and the offer can only be triggered once.

If you have multiple IHG stays coming up in the next few weeks, make sure you use the offer on the stay which will earn you the highest rebate.

Personally, I’m only seeing this offer on my card_name (review), so neither my card_name (review) or my card_name (review) – two better cards to have this offer targeted to – have been targeted. You may have better luck.

Currently, I don’t have any IHG stays booked for the next few weeks, but I’ve added this offer to my card_name just in case my plans suddenly change.

Bottom line

Chase has launched a new targeted offer in which it’s offering a 10% rebate on up to $570 of spending made at any IHG property in the world. Keep in mind that the offer can only be used once and that only a charge that’s made to a targeted card by 20 May 2024 will trigger the rebate, so make your plans accordingly.
