Save at two Hyatt brands with these targeted Amex offers (these work globally!)

A significant number of targeted Amex offers expired over the weekend so it was always going to be interesting to see what new offers American Express would throw our way and, from a travel standpoint, things are looking good.

Four new targeted hotel offers are now showing in my online Amex account and two of them relate to savings that cardholders can make at two specific Hyatt brands – Park Hyatt and Thompson. Both offers are valid through the middle of December, and both are valid at global destinations as well as at destinations in the US.

Offer 1 – Spend $300 and get $60 back at Thompson properties

Get a one-time $60 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $300 USD in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Thompson hotels and resorts in the U.S., Mexico, and Spain from 10/2/2023 to 12/15/2023.

Quick thoughts

Overall, there’s quite a bit of good news within the offer terms.

The first bit of good news is that the spending required to trigger the rebates doesn’t need to be made in a single transaction (although I’d be surprised if it took more than one transaction to trigger either rebate).

The second bit of good news is that this offer is valid for spending made through the middle of December of the year so there’s still quite a bit of time to make the most of these offers.

And the third bit of good news (the best news) is that it looks like all Thompson properties will qualify for the Thompson offer and that spending at most Park Hyatt properties will trigger the Park Hyatt rebate so, for once, Amex hasn’t pushed out offers that exclude most of the world. That makes for a very nice change.

I’ve had both of these offers targeted to all of my Membership Rewards cards so it looks like these offers will be widely available (I can see this offer on card_name, the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card, and card_name) and it looks like a lot of American Express® Green Card holders will be able to stack these offers with the 3 points/dollar that their card offers on worldwide travel (terms apply).

Bottom line

Amex has launched a significant number of new targeted offers this morning and amongst the plethora of retail offers that most TFM readers probably won’t be interested in, are offers for savings at Thompson properties and Park Hyatt properties worldwide.

Both offers will see travelers earn up to 20% back on select spending and both offers are valid for spending made through the middle of December 2023.
