Members of the UK’s Avios Travel Rewards Programme (which is different to British Airways’ Executive Club) can now earn Avios when they book a No.1 Traveller Lounge at Heathrow T3, Gatwick, Birmingham or Edinburgh.

Travellers visiting No.1 Lounges can collect 750 Avios per visit and receive a discount on entry costs. Bookings must be made, in advance, via www.No1Traveller.com/avios to receive the 750 bonus although a reduced bonus of 500 Avios is available for walk-in guests.
Per the press release:
“Avios Travel Rewards Programme customers will now be able to access any lounge in the No.1 collection at the discounted rate of £20.00 when booked via www.No1Traveller.com/avios; a saving of up to £15.00. The Avios member making the booking will earn 750 Avios when No.1 lounge access is purchased online in advance. Guests without a pre-booking will also benefit, with a £5.00 discount from the on-the-door rate and 500 Avios“
While this isn’t exactly a cheap way to boost your Avios balance (2.66p/Avios) it’s a nice bonus for anyone who doesn’t already have lounge entry via airline status or credit card.
In addition to earning Avios with lounge entry, travellers flying out of Heathrow Terminal 5 can earn 500 Avios when they book the £30, 2-course dining package at Gordon Ramsay’s “Plane Food”.
To kick off the partnership between Avios and No.1 Traveller guests can win 18,000 Avios and lounge entry for two people just by booking a lounge visit before 3 July 2015. There are five prizes in total.
