A new set of Amex offers have dropped this morning, and the most interesting travel related offer appears to be one that’s offering a statement credit for spending made with Hyatt hotels and resorts in Hawaii.

Quick thoughts

Overall, there’s mostly good news within the offer terms.

The first bit of good news is that the spending required to trigger the rebate doesn’t need to be made in a single transaction (although I’d be surprised if it took more than one transaction to trigger the rebate).

The second bit of good news is that this offer is valid for spending made through the end of December, so there’s still a reasonable amount of time left in which to make the most of this offer.

The third bit of good news is that it doesn’t look as if any of Hyatt’s Hawaii properties are excluded.

One thing to note is that while the terms and conditions say that transactions made at restaurants, spas, or other amenities will not trigger the rebate, that only relates to transactions that are paid for at the restaurants and spas within the property.

Any restaurant, spa, or other spending that’s charged to a room at a participating property will count towards this offer’s spending target.

We have this offer targeted to all of the Membership Rewards cards that we hold (consumer and business) so it looks like these offers will be widely available (I can see this offer on the Platinum Card® from American Express, the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card, the Blue Cash Everyday® card, the Business Platinum Card® from American Express and the Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express) so it should be possible for a lot of American Express® Green Card holders to be able to stack this offers with the 3 points/dollar that their card offers on worldwide travel (terms apply).

Note: All information about the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card and the American Express® Green Card has been collected independently by Traveling For Miles. Neither the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card or the American Express® Green Card are currently available through Traveling For Miles.

Bottom line

A new week means a new set of targeted Amex offers have appeared on various American Express cards and the one that has caught our eye is offing cardholders a saving of $150 on $700 (or more) of spending made at Hyatt hotels and resorts in Hawaii.
