American Express has brought back targeted offer that we last saw launched at the end of May and which ran through August. This time, the offer covers select Marriott stays that are paid for by November 23rd and the best-case scenario will see cardholders saving around 40% on their Marriott spending.

Quick thoughts
As Marriott Bonvoy Amex offers go, this one seems to be pretty good but unlike the last time this offer appeared, this time we’re only seeing it targeted to the Business Platinum Card® from American Express and not to any of the consumer cards or other business card.
You may have better luck as ideally, you see it on cards like the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, which all offer 6 Bonvoy Points/dollar spent with Marriott (terms apply).
Make sure you note that the terms of the offer say that the threshold for triggering the credit doesn’t have to be met in a single transaction, so that means that those of us making a couple of cheaper Marriott stays still have a good chance of getting the $140 rebate.
Lastly, even though stays at properties in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa won’t count towards this offer’s spending requirement (they rarely do), it’s nice to see that this offer follows in the footsteps of a few of the more recent offers by including more areas/territories than usual.
Bottom line
American Express is again targeting select cardholders for a $140 rebate on Marriott Bonvoy spending made with participating properties in the U.S. (including its territories), Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean by 23 November 2024.
The spending target of $350 doesn’t have to be met in a single transaction, but if our Amex accounts are anything to go by, this offer isn’t being widely targeted.
