Hyatt is in the process of emailing Hyatt and World of Hyatt credit card holders with an offer of a $75 statement credit when they use their card to book a stay at one of Hyatt’s independent collection brand properties. A minimum spend is required but this offer doesn’t appear to be targeted to specific cardholders so if you hold a Hyatt or World of Hyatt credit card this should be an offer open to you.

Quick Thoughts

The Hyatt gravy train keeps on rolling as this is yet another example of Hyatt working to keep its guests engaged and visiting its properties – it’s great to see another solid Hyatt offer being promoted.

I confess that I’m a little disappointed that this offer is limited to properties in the US (I’m still harboring in the UK), but it’s hard to complain too much when I consider that this offer will stack very nicely with Hyatt’s fantastic year-end promotion (3x or 4x points on all stays) and that I’m clearly part of a tiny minority of World of Hyatt credit card holders who are away from the US right now 🙂

Ordinarily, I would be suggesting that $75 would constitute a nice discount on a 1-night stay at one of Hyatt’s independent collection brand properties but, with room rates as they are…

…you may actually have to book a 2-night say to make sure you meet the spending requirement (or make sure you add a good meal and a few drinks to your bill on a 1-night stay).

Bottom Line

If you have a Hyatt or World of Hyatt credit card, you should have received (or should be about to receive) an email offering you a $75 statement credit when you spend $250 at a Joie de Vivre, Unbound Collection, or Destination Hotels property in the US. If you haven’t received the email you can use the link above to register for this promotion (you’ll need your Hyatt co-branded credit card number and your World of Hyatt member number).

Even if you don’t anticipate using this promotion, make sure you register nonetheless. You never know when your plans may change and you find yourself unexpectedly staying at a qualifying property – it would be a shame to miss out on an easy $75 just because you didn’t take 30 seconds out of your day to register.
