The Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is Hyatt’s most centrally located property in the UK’s capital and, based on recent experience, can be an excellent option for anyone visiting the city. Right now, the hotel is running a Cyber Week sale (that I’ve only just noticed) which appears to offer a great deal on stays and spending at the property.
The Churchill is currently offering a 20% discount on the various vouchers that it sells and whether you’re considering staying at the property, enjoying a meal in the restaurant, or just stopping by for drinks in the bar, the savings on offer are well worth having.
The key to this deal is the promo code that you should use at checkout: Save20
Dining Voucher Deals
The Churchill sells vouchers for its bar (which also serves food) and its restaurant and these are available all year round. In this sale, vouchers for both can be purchased with a 20% discount.
Vouchers for the bar can be purchased in £40, £60, and £80 denominations while vouchers for the restaurant come in £50 and £100 denominations and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Essentially, buy purchasing vouchers in this sale you’re discounting a future bar or restaurant bill by 20%.
Cash Voucher Deals
If you’re not looking to buy a voucher for anything specific, The Churchill will sell you a general monetary voucher that can be used for all spending at the property (room, dining, drinks, etc…).
Vouchers can be purchased in £80, £100, £150, £200, and £300 denominations and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
If you’re happy buying a £40 or £60 voucher for the bar or a £50 voucher for the restaurant, these monetary vouchers appear to make more sense as they’re more versatile.
Stay Voucher Deals
I’ve left the best deals to last as this is where you can lock in some fantastic savings.
The Churchill offers two different vouchers for stays at the property – a 1-night voucher and a 2-night voucher – and based on the usual cost of rooms, these both offer a pretty good deal outside of a sale. With 20% (as is available now), these deals are fantastic.
With the 20% discount added, you can use these vouchers to book a 1-night stay with Breakfast for just £152 (~$200) or a 2-night stay with breakfast for £280 (~$370) including all taxes and fees.
The vouchers are only valid for a year from the date of purchase but considering that a single night at The Churchill usually starts at around £250 (without breakfast)…
…and can frequently exceed £300 (without breakfast),…
…there still exceptional value to be had here.
I’ve spoken to the property and to Hyatt reservations and both confirmed that bookings made with these certificates qualify for elite night credits (because the certificates come from a Hyatt property and not from a 3rd party reseller) but neither could confirm if bookings made with these certificates earn a guest World of Hyatt points beyond the points made on any incidental spending made during a stay.
What has also been confirmed is that the vouchers can be used for stays on any day of the week, they’re not reliant on award nights being available, they’re not subject to blackout dates, they allow bookings to be upgraded for a supplement, and that an additional supplement may be due for stays between 4-11 July 2021.
The only downside to note is that the sale of vouchers is processed by “SK Chase”…
…so there’s no scope to earn bonus points by using a World of Hyatt credit card or a card that offers bonuses for travel spending.
Bottom Line
The Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is currently selling vouchers with a 20% discount which can open the door to some truly great savings. The sale appears to have been running for a few days (I’ve only just seen it) and it looks like today may be the last day to lock in the discount, so don’t procrastinate for too long if you think you can make the most of this deal.
Any idea when the last possible date is to purchase these vouchers? I read thought the terms and could not find the information.
The sale ends today (presumably at 23:59 UK time)
