Flying Blue has released its Promo Awards for March 2025 which cover travel through 31 August 2025 and as usual, you can now book select Air France and KLM awards with a 25% discount.

This month, we have more Economy Class deals for travel to/from North America than we’ve seen in recent months and we even have a few Business Class deals that may be of interest (including one for North America), so while this month’s offering is still a level below some of the offerings we were accustomed to seeing pre-Covid, this set of awards has more promise than I expected.

Keep in mind that Economy Class short-haul awards now start at 7,500 miles (up by 33% from 5,625 miles), Business Class short-haul awards now start at 18,750 miles (up by 25% from 15,000 miles), Economy Class long-haul awards now start at 22,500 miles (up by 50% from 15,000 miles) and the Business Class awards that are available appear to be priced at 27.5% more than the comparable deals last year, so if you haven’t browsed Flying Blue’s Promo Awards for a while, prices will be higher than you remember.

Promo Awards key terms

• Book by 31 March 2025
• Travel by 31 August 2025
• Promo reward tickets must be booked via airfrance.com or klm.com or on the respective airline apps (except for bookings for minors travelling alone or when travelling with an infant under the age of 2, in these cases bookings must be made by calling customer service).
• Changes (flight and/or date) are possible before flight departure (check-in closure) for a €70 fee plus possible fare difference. Miles and tax/surcharges paid for the changed segment(s) will be reaccredited to the account holder and a new booking for the adjusted flight/date will be made (including re-payment for the tax/surcharges).
• Refunds are possible before flight departure (check-in closure) for a €70 fee. Miles will be reaccredited to the account holder in case of a cancellation.
• Promo reward tickets are subject to the operating airline’s general conditions of carriage.
• Promo reward tickets are available for one-way, round-trip, multi-city, and open-jaw tickets but open-jaw and multicity Reward tickets must be booked via the Customer Service center.

Bottom line

Flying Blue has released details of its March 2025 Promo Awards which cover travel through 31 August 2025 and which must be booked by 31 March 2025.

This month we’re seeing a few more interesting Promo Awards than we’ve seen for some time (good news!) and it’s nice to see some Business Class awards being included that aren’t just for the very niche routes that Air France and KLM operate.

The Business Class awards to Dubai, Ottawa, Nairobi, and San Jose (Costa Rica) will probably get the most interest, but given that these Promo Awards cover some of the school vacations, some of the long-haul Economy Class awards may turn out to be useful if cash fares are high.
