British Airways has released details of its attempt at a Black Friday sale and to say that it’s underwhelming would be an understatement. The airline is offering a limited number of roundtrip fares to the US East Coast from just £282 (which, admittedly, isn’t too bad), there are one or two interesting Business Class deals (which aren’t officially part of the Black Friday sale) and a few savings on holiday bookings. That’s pretty much it.

Here’s what you need to know about BA’s Black Friday “deals”:

20,000 seats to the US at £299 roundtrip

British Airways is offering fares of between £282 and £299 for roundtrip travel between London Heathrow and New York, Boston, and Philadelphia.

With the possible exception of the Business Class fares to Rio and Sao Paulo, none of these fares are exceptional or fantastic. If you’re not in a hurry to book, it may be worth waiting to see if BA publishes a better sale in the lead-up to the end of the year.

You can find all of the best fares that British Airways is currently offering by using the airline’s Low Price Finder tool.

Bottom Line

The British Airways Black Friday sale is live but if you were hoping for some nice deals to kick off the Holiday season you’re probably going to be disappointed. There are a few interesting Economy Class fares on offer and one or two Business Class fares that look like they could be a good deal but overall, this isn’t going to get many people rushing to make new bookings.
