SWISS will soon start to roll out its new First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins and the first aircraft expected to get the new interiors will be the airline’s first Airbus A350-900 which is set to be delivered this fall.

We’ve known for a while that the SWISS A350 would probably debut on the Zurich – Boston route and this has now been confirmed, and we can now report what flights the new aircraft (complete with new interiors) will operate.

Boston gets SWISS A350 service

During the 2025/26 winter season, SWISS is scheduled to offer a daily service between Zurich and Boston and up until now, the schedules have shown that the route would be operated exclusively by Airbus A330 aircraft.

As of yesterday, however, that’s no longer the case.

From 2 January 2026, the new SWISS A350-900 will operate the Zurich – Boston route 4x/week and this is what the schedule now looks like:

LX052 ZRH 17:30 – 20:20 BOS A333 Service (Tue, Wed, & Thu)
LX052 ZRH 17:30 – 20:20 BOS A350 Service (Mon, Fri, Sat, & Sun)

LX053 BOS 21:50 – 11:10+1 day ZRH A333 Service (Tue, Wed, & Thu)
LX053 BOS 21:50 – 11:10+1 day ZRH A350 Service (Mon, Fri, Sat, & Sun)

[HT: AeroRoutes]

The schedules currently show the A350 only operating in this route through the end of the winter season (last A350 flights are scheduled for 28 March 2026), but this may just be because SWISS hasn’t yet updated its summer 2026 schedules (it’s a bit early for that).

The new A350 cabins

Essentially, the new SWISS First and Business Class cabins are the same as the Lufthansa Allegris cabins with a different color palette (SWISS is calling their cabins “Senses” and the soft finishings were designed by Pearson Lloyd).

The SWISS A350-900s will offer the following cabin options:

  • First Class – 3/4 seats*
  • Business Class – 45 seats
  • Premium Economy – 38 seats
  • Economy Class – 149 seats

*First Class offers two regular seats and a central double seat which can be booked by one or two people.

Two of the First Class suites look like this:

SWISS A350 First Class Suite
SWISS A350 First Class Suite

And the central “double” suite looks like this:

SWISS A350 First Class double suite

The two regular suites offer seats which are 77cm/30″ wide, which have in-built heating and cooling systems, and which can turn into beds that are 205cm/80.5″ long.

The walls of each suite are 180cm/~70.5″ high and the regular suites come with 32″ OLED 4K screens.

The double suite offers a pair of seats which, combined, are 117cm/46″ wide and which, like the regular seats can turn into beds that are 205cm/80.5″ long.

The only other key difference between the regular suite and the double suite is that the double suite has a 43″ screen.

The Business Class cabin and seats look like this:

Here, the seats are 52cm/22″ wide and can convert into a 220cm/86.5″ lie-flat bed* and offer the same in-built heating and cooling system as the First Class suites.

*It’s a little odd that the Business Class seats offer a longer bed than the considerably more expensive First Class seats.

In the Premium Economy cabin, this is what things look like:

SWISS A350 Premium Economy cabin.

The seats in this cabin are 48cm/19″ wide and offer a pitch of 99cm/39″.

The Premium Economy screens are 15.6″ 4K OLED screens and all seats in the cabin have access to wireless charging and Bluetooth connectivity.

Finally, this is what the Economy cabin will look like:

SWISS A350 Economy Class cabin.
SWISS A350 Economy Class cabin.

The seats in this cabin are 46cm/18″ wide and offer 79cm/31″ of pitch.

The Economy Class screens are 13.3″ 4K OLED screens and all seats in the cabin have 6” of seat tilt, a 6-way adjustable headrest, access to USB charging, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Bottom line

We now know to expect the new SWISS A350 aircraft (complete with all new cabins) to debut on the Zurich – Boston route from 2 January 2026. The aircraft will operate 4 of the route’s 7 weekly flights and at the rime of writing, is scheduled to fly this route through 28 March 2026.
