If you’ve had your morning cup of coffee before visiting Traveling For Miles this morning you may have noticed a small new floating link on the bottom right of every page. It’s a link with a logo that I’m very proud to have on the site because it shows that Traveling For Miles is now part of the BoardingArea family of blogs.
BoardingArea is home to some of the most widely read frequent flyer/miles & points blogs in the world and it was blogs that I found on BoardingArea that got me into the miles & points hobby in the first place.
View From The Wing and One Mile At A Time have been part of my daily reading for the best part of a decade, Frequent Miler has passed on more tips and made me aware of more deals than I can remember and Loyalty Traveler’s take on affordable travel has been invaluable for years. It’s amazing (to me) to think that Traveling For Miles now gets to share a platform with these guys.
TFM’s reach may now be a lot larger but there won’t be too many wholesale changes. In time there will be a new theme (the last new theme kept breaking the blog which is why we’re now back to the original one) but most other aspects of the blog will remain the same.
I’ll continue posting deals, news and information that I think will be of interest to readers and the frank opinions of airlines, hotels and credit cards that some of you will have become used to will continue to flow – the nature of the content found on TFM is not going to change.
I need to say a big thank you to Randy Petersen for inviting me to join BoardingArea and to all the BoardingArea team that helped get TFM migrated to its new home – it’s been the most efficient bit of work this blog has ever seen!
Traveling For Miles is still in its infancy when compared to the well-known blogs BoardingArea hosts but I’m incredibly excited to see where it can go from here – if it can grow to help travelers in the same way as BoardingArea blogs have helped me I’ll be one very happy blogger.
Thanks very much for reading
Ziggy
