This is just a quick heads up for anyone booked on a British Airways flight from London Heathrow next summer that the airline has scheduled a few changes (including cancellations) that may affect your plans. The destinations impacted are Boston, Tel Aviv, Las Vegas, Santiago (Chile), Nassau and Grand Cayman.
British Airways Schedule Changes Summer 2017
London Heathrow – Boston
- Flights BA215 (18:15 departure from Heathrow) & BA214 (22:40 departure from Boston) are now cancelled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays.
- Flights BA213 (11:15 departure from Heathrow) and BA212 (19:20 departure from Boston) will be operated by an A380 aircraft on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays replacing a 747.
London Heathrow – Tel Aviv
- A new daily service will operate on the following schedule:
BA167 LHR 17:10 – 00:05+1 day TLV (Daily 777 service)
BA166 TLV 09:45 – 13:00 LHR (Daily 777 service)
- BA163 (22:30 departure from Heathrow) & BA162 (07:35 departure from Tel Aviv) are cancelled on Fridays (this is now a 5x/week service on Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun)
Day of Week Changes
British Airways has also changed the day on which certain flights will be operating (frequencies appear unchanged).
London Heathrow – Las Vegas – New Schedule
BA271 LHR 12:30 – 15:10 LAS (Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun)
BA270 LAS 17:15 – 11:15+1 day LHR (Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun)
London Heathrow – Santiago (Chile) – New Schedule
BA251 LHR 22:00 – 07:40+1 day LAS (Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat)
BA250 LAS 16:45 – 12:05+1 day LHR (Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat)
London Heathrow – Nassau – Grand Cayman – New Schedule
Flights BA253 (10:25 departure from Heathrow) and BA252 (18:30 departure from Gran Cayman & 22:20 departure from Nassau) will now operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Bottom Line
If you have a reservation on any of these routes, even if you don’t think you’re affected, please check to make sure all is in order – it would be a shame to walk into Heathrow (or into the airport at one of the destination cities) only to find that your flight no longer exists 🙂
