If you’re considering a booking to a destination that’s currently on the UK government’s travel corridor list you’ll have to be very, very quick. The best fares are disappearing rapidly to destinations like Antigua, Barbados, and St. Lucia so this isn’t a time to procrastinate.
If, however, you’re considering a speculative booking to a country where, as things stand, most visitors originating in the UK are not welcome (e.g. the United States), you’ll probably have a bit more time to make a decision. When BA was selling £999 roundtrip Club World fares to the United States a couple of months ago, they stayed around for over a day.
A quick look at the various prices that are on offer would suggest that unless you’re on a budget, it’s well worth spending a little bit more to travel in Premium Economy or, if you can, Upper Class. The difference in price between a lot of the Economy Class fares and Premium Economy fares is small enough to make it an easy decision to pay for the (vastly) better cabin (£200 extra to fly in Premium Economy instead of Economy to the Caribbean is a no-brainer if your budget will stretch to it).
Naturally, the biggest discounts on offer in this sale are for the Upper Class cabin where the £999 fares are nothing short of amazing and the very best deals are to be had on the routes where Virgin Atlantic offers its new Upper Class suites (e.g. New York, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv).
Virgin Atlantic has launched a very impressive Black Friday sale in which it’s selling roundtrip Upper Class fares from £999 and roundtrip long-haul Premium Economy Fares from just £509.
