The roll-out of Qatar Airways’ highly acclaimed Qsuite Business Class cabin has been steady if unspectacular, but the recent deliveries of the airline’s new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft and the recent return into service of multiple refurbished Boeing 777s has seen the number of routes on which Qsuites are offered increase significantly.

Select high-value destinations (e.g New York and London) have seen Qatar Airways offer them Qsuite Business Class service on multiple daily flights for some time but now that exclusive list is growing and it looks like Copenhagen will be the next city to have more than one daily flight offering Qsuites Business Class service.

Copenhagen Qsuite Service

Copenhagen had a somewhat on/off Qsuite service up until summer this year but, as of July 2019, 7 of the 18 weekly flights between Doha and Copenhagen have been served by a Qsuite-equipped Boeing 777-300ER and this service is currently scheduled to continue as far into the future as the schedules allow us to see.

The second daily service (QR163/164) is currently operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (no Qsuites) but the winter service will see some changes to the aircraft on offer on these flights.

Between 28 October and 29 November, Qatar Airways will operate flights QR163 & QR164 with a mixture of 777-300ER (no Qsuites) and 777-200LR (Qsuites) aircraft with the Qsuite-equipped aircraft operating between 2 and 4 of the 7 weekly flights.

Between 1 March and 28 March 2020, flights QR163/164 will be operated by a Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000 complete with Qsuite Business Class.

Here’s the full winter schedule and the Qsuite details in summary form:

QR161 DOH 01:35 – 06:20 CPH (Daily)*
QR159 DOH 08:00 – 12:45 CPH (Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun)**

Bottom Line

It’s great to see Europe getting yet more Qsuite Business Class service and it’s good to see the excellent Qatar Airways A350-1000 being the aircraft that is set to provide it.

28 March signifies the end of the Qatar Airways winter season so just because the A350-1000 appears to hand over to a 787-8 Dreamliner (no Qsuites) after that date doesn’t mean that this is actually what will happen.

It’s entirely possible that Qatar Airways will extend the A350-1000 service on this route once it begins to firm up its summer schedule – I’ll update my list of Qatar Airways Qsuite routes when any new information emerges.
