Norwegian has been making quite a few changes to its routes recently with new additions seemingly prevailing over cuts. The last major route news from Norwegian was towards the end of June when the airline confirmed that it would be offering a daily service between London and Buenos Aires and adding Tampa to its route network.

Now we have more Norwegian route news.

From late October (the start of the northern hemisphere winter season) Norwegian will offer flights to Krabi from 3 separate Scandinavian cities.

Copenhagen – Krabi

From 31 October 2018 Norwegian will offer a twice weekly service between Copenhagen and Krabi on the following schedule:

DY7255 CPH 12:35 – 05:15+1 day KBV (Wed & Sat)

DY7256 KBV 07:15 – 13:05 CPH (Sun)
DY7256 KBV 13:20 – 19:10 CPH (Wed)

Oslo – Krabi

From 28 October 2018 Oslo will be the jumping off point for a new twice weekly service to Krabi on the following schedule:

DY7251 OSL 18:25 – 11:10+1 day KBV (Tue)
DY7251 OSL 20:00 – 12:45+1 day KBV (Sun)

DY7252 KBV 13:00 – 19:00 OSL (Sat)
DY7252 KBV 14:45 – 20:45 OSL (Mon)

Stockholm Arlanda – Krabi

Stockholm is the third Scandinavian city that will offer a new Norwegian service to Krabi and, just like the two new routes mentioned above, this route will be served twice a week.

From 31 October 2018 this is what the schedule looks like:

DY7259 ARN 16:55 – 09:20+1KBV (Wed)
DY7259 ARN 18:35 – 11:00+1KBV (Fri)

DY7260 KBV 07:15 – 12:45 ARN (Fri)
DY7260 KBV 11:20 – 16:50 ARN (Thu)

Thoughts

Norwegian will be employing it’s 787 Dreamliners on its new routes to Krabi (thankfully the new 737 MAX 8 can’t fly as far as Thailand!) so, if you’ve flown long-haul with Norwegian in the past, you should know what to expect – tight seating in Economy and a surprisingly acceptable Premium Cabin experience (from what I’ve been told).

As things stand Norwegian has only posted its schedule through to the end of March so we don’t know if these routes are going to be available past the winter season….but they’re nice to have nonetheless.
