JetBlue may not be going from strength to strength right now, but as it celebrates its 25th birthday, it’s doing a good job of staying in the news.

Coming on top of the ongoing 25 for 25 promotion, we we’ve seen JetBlue adding flights to Orlando, extending its Newark Los Angeles route, and launching a flash sale offering 25% off select bookings (ends today).

Now the airline has announced that it’s adding new routes, bringing back old routes, adding more flights, and adding more Mint service out of its base in Fort Lauderdale.

New routes from Fort Lauderdale

This winter, JetBlue will add two new destinations to its Fort Lauderdale route map – Norfolk (Virginia) and Tampa.

Both routes are due to launch on 4 December 2025 and at the time of writing, the schedules look like this:

Norfolk (5x/week)

B6 1800 FLL 09:35 – 11:50 ORF (Mon & Thu – Sun)
B6 1799 ORF 12:35 – 14:55 FLL (Mon & Thu – Sun)

Tampa (1x daily)

B6 1905 FLL 20:55 – 21:55 TPA (Daily)
B6 1906 TPA 08:30 – 09:30 FLL (Daily)

Both routes will be operated by JetBlue’s A320 aircraft featuring 42 “Even More Space” seats with 35″ – 38″ of pitch (leg room) and 110 regular Economy Class seats with 32″of pitch. All seats on this aircraft are 18″ wide.

At the time of writing, both routes are scheduled to operate into the summer season, so these appear to be new year-round routes for Fort Lauderdale.

Returning routes

It looks like JetBlue has had a small change of heart following the cuts it made in 2024 as two of the Fort Lauderdale routes that were axed back then are making a comeback.

Austin (2x daily)

The Fort Lauderdale – Austin route is being resurrected from 20 November 2025 and is set to be operated twice daily on the following schedule:

B6 1971 FLL 11:00 – 13:11 AUS (Daily)
B6 2271 FLL 20:00 – 22:08 AUS (Daily)

B6 2272 AUS 06:20 – 10:00 FLL (Daily)
B6 1972 AUS 14:05 – 17:44 FLL (Daily)

Atlanta (1x daily)

The Fort Lauderdale – Atlanta route returns from 4 December 2025 on the following schedule:

B6 1798 FLL 20:15 – 22:09 ATL (Daily)
B6 1797 ATL 08:00 – 09:54 FLL (Daily)

Both routes will be operated by JetBlue’s A320 aircraft featuring 42 “Even More Space” seats with 35″ – 38″ of pitch (leg room) and 110 regular Economy Class seats with 32″of pitch. All seats on this aircraft are 18″ wide.

At the time of writing, both routes are scheduled to operate into the summer season, so it looks like Austin and Atlanta are set to be year-round destinations for JetBlue out of Fort Lauderdale.

New Mint flights

JetBlue already offers its Business Class Mint cabin on all flights from Fort Lauderdale to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix and for this winter, all three of these routes will be getting an extra daily Mint flight.

  • Las Vegas will get an extra flight from 26 October 2025 to give the route up to 3 daily Mint flights during the winter season.
  • Los Angeles will get an extra flight from 21 November 2025 to give the route up to 6 daily Mint flights during the winter season.
  • Phoenix will get an extra flight from 26 October 2025 to give the route up to 2 daily Mint flights during the winter season.

All three routes will be operated by JetBlue’s A321ceo aircraft featuring the following layout:

  • 16 lie-flat Mint Business Class seats with 22″ of width
  • 41 “Even More Space” seats with 17.7″ of width and at least 35″ of pitch (leg room)
  • 121 regular Economy Class seats with 17.7″ of width and  32″of pitch.

These aircraft offer free onboard wifi and all seats have (in one way or another) access to universal AC power outlets and USB-A ports.

Extra flights

Both Raleigh-Durham and Richmond (RIC) will be getting an extra flight out of Fort Lauderdale from 26 October 2025 giving both routes 2 daily flights.

This is what those schedules currently look like:

Raleigh-Durham (2x daily)

B6 726 FLL 14:55 – 17:00 RDU (Daily)
B6 2626 FLL 20:50 – 22:57 RDU (Daily)

B6 2625 RDU 06:00 – 08:11 FLL (Daily)
B6 725 RDU 17:55 – 20:05 FLL (Daily)

Richmond (2x daily)

B6 246 FLL 13:30 – 15:45 RDU (Daily)
B6 1146 FLL 20:59 – 23:15 RDU (Daily)

B6 1145 RIC 07:00 – 09:23 FLL (Daily)
B6 245 RIC 16:40 – 19:04 FLL (Daily)

At the time of writing, both routes are scheduled to offer two daily flights each into the summer season, so it looks like these expanded schedules are here to stay year-round … until JetBlue decides otherwise.

Bottom line

JetBlue has announced that it’s expanding its operations of out of Fort Lauderdale by launching two new routes (Norfolk & Tampa), bringing back two routes (Atlanta & Austin), Adding more Mint Business Class service to three routes (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, & Phoenix) and adding an extra daily flight to two routes (Raleigh-Durham & Richmond).
