Today, American Express has launched two new targeted offers for Marriott Bonvoy spending and this is the second offer which is being targeted to Amex business cards (the first offer is being targeted to Amex’s consumer cards – see here).

Quick thoughts
This targeted offer offer for holders of Amex business cards is the weaker of the two offers published today as where the maximum rebate available on the consumer card offer is $120, the maximum rebate available here is just $60.
Still, a $60 saving is better than nothing!
I have this offer targeted to the Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express which earns 2 points/dollar on the first $50,000 of spending every year (1 point/dollar thereafter – terms apply), but the best card to have this targeted to will be the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card which would allow a cardholder to earn 6 Bonvoy points/dollar while also locking in the $60 saving. (terms apply).
As is the case with the consumer card offer, it’s pretty much all good news here. There’s no requirement to earn the full $60 rebate on a single transaction – so anyone with a few cheaper stays (costing at least $300 in total) would be able to make the most of this deal – and because the deal covers most Bonvoy properties in North America and the Caribbean, there isn’t going to be a shortage of properties at which this offer can be used.
Sure, it would have been nice if Amex had extended this offer to cover the rest of the world, but Amex very rarely does that with any of its offers so we’ll just have to be happy that the scope of this offer is as broad as it is.
Bottom line
Amex has published a new offer that will give targeted holders of Amex business card a 20% rebate (capped at $60) on spending made at select Marriott brands located in North America, the US Territories, Mexico and the Caribbean. The offer runs through to the end of March and will be visible now in Amex online accounts for cardholders who have been targeted.
