The second week of this year’s Daily Getaway promotions ends today and out of all the deals that we’ve seen so far, the ones on offer today are the best…and by some distance. There’s just one tiny little problem. There are so few packages on sale that 99.9% of people who try to buy one will walk away disappointed.

The deals

These are the deals that Daily Getaways is promoting today:

All three of today’s Daily Getaway deals are offering participants the chance to purchase World of Hyatt points at fantastic prices (prices that are lower than most people’s valuation of Hyatt points):

  • 30,000 points for $396 = 1.32 cents/point
  • 50,000 points for $660 = 1.32 cents/point
  • 80,000 points for $960 = 1.20 cents/points

Unfortunately, with just 16 packages on sale, the chances of snapping up one of these deals are so small that I can’t help but wonder if an offer like this does more harm than good to the reputation of the Daily Getaway promotions.

If you want to try your luck (and why not?), you’ll have to be one of the quickest and luckiest of people on the planet when these packages go live at 13:00 ET today (link).

Key terms

Buy 30,000 points for $396

What you Receive: 30,000 bonus points equals two (2) nights at any category 4 hotel.

Dates of Travel: Anytime, no blackout dates.

Max. Quantity per Purchase: One (1). No more than one (1) set of points purchased through this offer are allowed per World of Hyatt membership number. A maximum of four (4) sets of points is allowed per World of Hyatt membership number across all Hyatt offers.

Buy 50,000 points for $660

What you Receive: 50,000 bonus points equals two (2) nights at any category 6 hotel!

Buy 80,000 points for $960

What you Receive: 80,000 bonus points equals two (2) nights at any category 8 hotel!

Dates of Travel: Anytime, no blackout dates.

Max. Quantity per Purchase: One (1). No more than one (1) set of points purchased through this offer are allowed per membership number. A maximum of four (4) sets of points is allowed per membership number across all Hyatt offers.

Make sure you check all the terms and conditions which you’ll find on the Daily Getaways page.

Keep in mind that where the terms and conditions mention what category of hotel these points can be used at, what you’re reading is just a suggestion. World of Hyatt points purchased in this sale can be used at any property that participates in the World of Hyatt program so there is no restriction on how or where these points can be used (beyond the standard terms and conditions of the World of Hyatt program).

Bottom line

At 13:00 ET today, a new set of Daily Getaways promotions will go live and a very limited number of packages will go on sale in which World of Hyatt points can be purchased at a very good price. As Daily Getaway deals go, this is just about as good as it gets (value-wise) but because so few packages are being made available, a lot of people are going to be left disappointed.

  1. Please don’t say that! You bloggers said the same thing about yesterday’s deal with the Venetian Suite packages — and I scored one. No bots — just good old fashioned persistence and not giving up. It is possible. Just be patient.
