Air France has launched a truly fantastic companion fare deal (2 people must travel together) in which it’s offering non-stop Business Class fares between France and North America for as little as €1,299/$1,430 roundtrip.
Departures are available from a number of cities in France but the majority of great fares on offer originate in Paris.
I should point out that there are also a number of good companion fares on offer to destinations in the Caribbean, and the Middle East but the truly great fares are the ones on offer to North America (the Los Angeles deal is fantastic).
Headline Info
- Book by 1 October 2019
- 2 people (or multiples of 2) need to book to get the great fares

Quick Thoughts
The fares to North America are the ones I like most as the travel dates to Los Angeles, New York, and Montreal are from 21 October 2019 all the way through to 30 August 2020and that’s a huge travel period in which we can book these fares.
Admittedly there are restrictions on the days of the week on which travel can be taken but, even with that condition taken into account, €1,499/$1,650 for roundtrip Business Class between Paris and Los Angeles and €1,299/$1,430 for roundtrip Business Class between Paris and New York are amazing deals.
The €999 – €1005 roundtrip Business Class fare to Dubai out of various French cities is undoubtedly going to be attractive to a lot of people too but that’s the kind of fare that I’ve seen Air France/KLM offer on a reasonably frequent basis in the past….and without the restriction of it being a companion fare.
Speaking of companion fares, yes, this aspect of the offer is a little annoying.
Not only does it appear that you have to have a minimum of 2 people traveling to get the great fares to price up but, based on my searches, it also looks like the number of people in the booking has to be a multiple of 2 – I tried a few reservations for 3 people and was offered some very poor deals.
Also, be aware that not All Air France Business Class cabins are equal. Los Angeles, for example, is served by both an Air France A380 and an Air France 777 and while the 777 offers a very nice reverse herringbone Business Class cabin (seen in a number of images in this post), the A380 offers incredibly old fashioned seats that do not even lie flat – try to stick to aircraft which offer a 1-2-1 cabin layout (like the A350s, the 787s most 777s) or possibly the 2-2-2 arrangement that you’ll find in some of the A330 aircraft and you won’t go far wrong.
