Amazon has launched two new gift card offers that are running from Black Friday (today) though to Cyber Monday (27 November). The headline offer is for up to 21% off select gift cards but the deals vary depending on the gift card that you’re purchasing and only a very limited number of gift cards appear to be included (at the time of writing) so make sure you check the small print before you buy.
Promotion 1
- Add one or more qualifying gift cards of the same brand totaling the qualifying purchase amount (or more) to your cart.
- At checkout, enter the promotion code that you’ll find on the product page.
- Receive a promo credit of up to 20% of the value of the gift cards purchased.
- One promotional credit permitted per gift card type per account.
The promotional credit is not taken off the cost of the gift cards that you’re purchasing and, instead, will be automatically applied to your next eligible purchase. You will receive the credit and email confirmation that the credit has been applied to your account within 24 hours and then can be used on eligible products shipped and sold by Amazon.com until 17 January 2024.

Quick thoughts
Overall, two not very exciting promotions thanks to the fact that so few retailers appear to be participating, and thanks to the fact that the first promotion doesn’t actually discount the gift card that you’re buying.
Still, one or both may be useful to some, especially as the promotional credit (from the first offer) appears to be usable to discount a future gift card purchase.
As I have an Apple Music subscription coming up for renewal and as I currently have a very good Amex Amazon offer saved to card_name, I’ve just bought a $100 Apple eGift Card and the $15 credit has already been confirmed via email.
I’ve just been playing around with that credit to see what I can use it for and so far it has worked when putting Starbucks, AirBnB, Apple, Netflix and Spotify gift cards into my basket. More importantly, there doesn’t appear to be a minimum purchase amount required to trigger the credit, so that’s a little more good news (obviously, I have to spend at least $15).
Bottom line
Amazon is currently running two very limited gift card promotions which are offering savings of up to 21%. Make sure you read the small print before you buy (so you know if you’re getting an immediate or a future discount) and make sure you check your credit cards for any Amazon offers that you can use to stack with any savings that Amazon is offering.
