I’ve never been one for videoing too many things (I’m pretty terrible at it) but a beautiful sunny day with no low clouds was such a rarity for one of my trips from Heathrow that I had to try to record it. And here’s the result:
The flight was headed over to Dallas but, because of the wind direction (I think), we took off heading East. This meant we had to do a long 180 degree turn to get facing the right way – luckily the plane turned to starboard so I got a view. My fellow passengers on the port side just got a window-full of sky.
Things to watch for:
- The yellow truck that, I’m convinced, is trying to race the plane on take off.
- The planes coming in to land at Heathrow – which you can see (if you look closely) after we complete the turn.
As with the last video I’ve deliberately not stabilised the picture (that’s the plane shaking not me!) and not added audio.
