I’m not going to claim that I’ve been searching for Etihad Business Class deals for years but it’s been long enough and this could be the best Etihad Business Class sale I’ve come across for a while. Some of the fares are unbelievably low for travel on one of the world’s best Business Class airlines. Not only are some of the fares amazing but availability is fantastic, there are numerous destinations to choose from and travel dates run from September through June 2017!

Etihad Business Class Sale – Things To Know

Let’s get the boring bits out of the way first:

  • The sale ends on 30 July 2016 – you have just over 2 days to book!
  • Travel dates are September 2016 – June 2017
  • Blackout dates are: 16 – 30 December 2016 & 1 – 10 January 2017
  • Minimum stay requirements say 4 nights but, due to overnight flights, you can get away with just 2 nights in a hotel.
  • Maximum stay time is 3 months
  • Fare rules say unlimited free stopovers are allowed but I haven’t tested this.
  • Some fares involve codeshares with Etihad partners (Alitalia, Air Berlin etc…)

Etihad Business Class Sale – The Fares

The fares I’m going to show below are generally available for travel in any month from September 2016 – June 2017. I’m only going to show one month of availability (as an example) for each destination but it’s safe to assume that you’ll find the fares I show below in other months if you search yourself.

Bangkok – From $1,393 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Milan (other origins may be available).

Example availability – September 2016:

1-BKK-SEPT

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

1-MXP-BKK-$1393

Note that, in this case, the sectors between Milan and Abu Dhabi are operated by Alitalia but that isn’t true for all the Milan-Bangkok fares.

Here’s that flight priced up and ready to book on Orbitz:

Phuket – From $1,503 Return

Example availability – May 2017:

2-HKT-MAY

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

2-MXP-HKT-$1503

Note that, in this case, one of the the sectors between Milan and Abu Dhabi is operated by Alitalia but, with a little bit of flexibility you may be able to book a 100% Etihad operated fare.

Mumbai – From $1,538 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Paris (other origins may be available).

Example availability – March 2017:

3-BOM-MAR

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

3-CDG-BOM-$1538

Manila – From $1,590 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Venice (other origins may be available).

Example availability – February 2017:

4-MNL-FEB

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

4-VCE-MNL-$1590

This is another example of a fare where the Italy – Abu Dhabi sectors are operated by Alitalia so bear this in mind if this is an issue.

Kuala Lumpur – From $1,617 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Venice (other origins may be available).

Example availability – October 2016:

5-KUL-OCT

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

5-VCE-KUL-$1617

More Alitalia codeshares here but I’ve seen fares to Kuala Lumpur that involve only one sector on the Italian carrier so, if you’re flexible with times/dates/return city, you may be able to do the same.

Shanghai – From $1,636 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Paris (other origins may be available).

Example availability – April 2017:

6-PVG-APR

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

6-CDG-PVG-$1636

This fare give travelers a great chance to try out the Etihad Dreamliner and, for the aviation geeks out there, it allows travelers to try out 3 different Etihad Business Class products in one trip.

Ho Chi Minh City – From $1,636 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Paris (other origins may be available).

Example availability – May 2017:

7-SGN-MAY

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

7-CDG-SGN-$1636

Hong Kong – From $1,640 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Dublin (other origins may be available).

Example availability – November 2016:

8-HKG-NOV

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

Be careful with the flights you book on this fare as there are some that involve a flight on Air Seychelles – that may be a perfectly good carrier but why book away from Etihad if you don’t have to?

Delhi – From $1,719 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Venice (other origins may be available).

Example availability – April 2017:

9-DEL-APR

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

9-VCE-DEL-$1719

We’re back to Alitalia codeshares here but, if you’re prepared to pay a little more, you can stay on Etihad by routing from Milan.

Singapore – From $1,750 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Berlin but terminate in Frankfurt (other origins may be available).

Example availability – February 2017:

10-SIN-FEB

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

10-TXL&FRA-SIN-$1750

This example shows an Air Berlin codeshare for the first sector but, for a slightly higher fare, you can eliminate this in favor of an Etihad flight from Frankfurt.

Beijing – From $1,761 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Berlin (other origins may be available).

Example availability – March 2017:

11-PEK-MAR

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

11-TXL-PEK-$1761

Once again, be aware that the Germany – Abu Dhabi sectors are Air Berlin Codeshares.

Seoul – From $1,762 Return

Cheapest fare appears to originate in Frankfurt (other origins may be available).

Example availability – December 2016:

12-ICN-DEC

Example routing, aircraft & flight times (click to enlarge):

12-FRA-ICN-$1762

Bottom Line

If you’ve ever wanted to visit Asia and do it in style and comfort then this could be a great time to book – I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Etihad Business Class fare between Europe and Bangkok for under $1,400 before.

If you’re tempted to book any of these fares don’t forget two things:

  1. You have to book by 30 July…so you don’t have much time to make up your mind
  2. Check to see if you’re booking flights on Etihad or one of its partners. The partners are fine but they’re not as good as Etihad so, unless you’re like me and have a need to review different airlines then I suggest trying to find fares with as much time on Etihad aircraft as possible.

If anyone finds any other destinations in Asia that have similarly good fares the please let us all know in the comments below. Thanks!
