Yesterday I wrote a post reminding readers to stack as many deals as possible to maximize savings and the miles & points earned during this utterly crazy shopping season. Well, it looks like you can stack at least three deals to get some fantastic savings on Tumi luggage right now.

I used to be a huge fan of Tumi (I still have at least 3 pieces of luggage from that brand) but recent experiences of their customer service has seen me move my preference over to Briggs and Riley.

However….

I’m still a big fan of Tumi’s Alpha/Alpha 2 range (especially the carry-ons) and I suspect that a lot of readers are still fans too, so the current opportunity to save on all Tumi products will probably interest a lot of people.

To get some great savings these are the three deals you’ll need to stack….and it’s very easy!

Deal 1

Make sure you’ve saved whatever eBags offer Amex has targeted you for on to one of your American Express cards (I’m reasonably sure everyone has been targeted for some sort of saving/deal).

The offer I have saved is on my Amex EveryDay card and looks like this:

I love a fee-free credit card that earns me points or saves me money!

I value Amex Membership Rewards Points at 1.5 cents each so this deal effectively earns me a $30 rebate.

Deal 2

Click through to TopCashBack.com and, if you haven’t already done so, open up a free account.

Right now (through tomorrow, 25 November) TopCashBack is offering a fantastic 27.3% rebate on all Tumi products purchased from eBags (you’ll have to use the search facility to find the eBags link).

Using the link provided click through to eBags.com

Hint: Take screenshots at each point of the TopCashBack process so you have all the evidence you need should the transaction not track correctly.

Hint 2: Using a coupon that you didn’t find on TopCashback when you checkout at eBags may nullify the cashback on offer.

Deal 3

At this point you should be on the eBags homepage and eBags is currently offering 20% off a lot of its Tumi stock including the Alpha 2 range that I still like so much.

Make sure you use your American Express card loaded with the eBags offer to purchase whatever items you buy.

Bottom Line

Even if you exclude the American Express offer everyone should be able to save over 50% on the Tumi items in the eBag sale and that is a very good deal indeed.

Personally I would stay clear on the Tegra range and the V3 range if looking for checked luggage (I’ve found that both scratch easily and I’ve had issues with the locks) but the thick zippers and the ballistic nylon on the Alpha 2 range are things I can definitely recommend – they hark back to the days when Tumi wasn’t owned by Samsonite and produced great quality luggage.
