Flying Blue has released its Promo Awards for July 2025 which cover travel through 31 December 2025 and as usual, you can now book select Air France and KLM awards with a 25% discount.

This month, among the various Promo Awards we have six Economy Class deals for travel to/from North America and two Business Class deals for travel between Europe and Latin America and that’s just about it as far as interesting deals go (and I’m playing fast and loose with the word “interesting” in that sentence).

To be blunt, there’s not much to see here this month … although if the surcharges aren’t ridiculous, some people may be able to save some cash on travel between Europe and Aruba/Bonaire/Curaçao given how high Economy Class fares can be on those routes.

Keep in mind that Economy Class short-haul awards now start at 7,500 miles (up by 33% from the 5,625 miles they cost at the start of the year), Business Class short-haul awards now start at 18,750 miles (up by 25% from the 15,000 miles they cost at the start of the year), Economy Class long-haul awards now start at 22,500 miles (up by 50% from 15,000 miles) and the Business Class awards that are available appear to be priced at 27.5% more than the comparable deals last year, so if you haven’t browsed Flying Blue’s Promo Awards for a while, prices will be higher than you remember.

Bottom line

Flying Blue has released details of its July 2025 Promo Awards which cover travel through 31 December 2025 and which must be booked by 31 July 2025.

This month we’re seeing a return to the (mostly) very dull Promo Awards than we’ve seen published far too many times in recent years. There isn’t a single Business Class award available on the short-haul routes that Air France or KLM operate, there are just two uninspiring Business Class awards available on the long haul routes that the airlines operates, and there’s aren’t any award for travel to or from Asia

Given how we’ve been told to expect weakness in forward bookings for transatlantic travel, it seems odd that this set of Flying Blue Promo Awards doesn’t reflect that so, either the weakness in bookings hasn’t yet filtered through ot the weakness isn’t there at all.
