Hot on the heels of the 20% off stays in Washington DC promotion, Marriott has announced a promotion for anyone looking to catch some late sunshine this fall or hoping to escape the snow this winter.
The “Time Is Money” event gives vacationers 30% off Marriott’s leisure rates at a number of Caribbean and Latin American properties.

The biggest issue with this promotion is that there are blackout dates when the promotion doesn’t apply – but there doesn’t appear to be anywhere that tells you what blackout dates apply to which resorts!
The good news is that, although the promotion states that you have to use a code, it would appear that Marriott’s website shows the promotional rates even without the code in the reservation. See this screenshot for the Aruba Marriott Resort (click to enlarge):
$223/night isn’t bad for November in Aruba – I’m sure most East-Coasters will be ready for some Caribbean sun come November. But, for families looking to travel to Aruba, the most economical option (without forgoing the comforts of home) will almost certainly be a rental at Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club or Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club.
As always, play around with the various resorts for the dates that work best for you and, you never know, there may be a good deal waiting for you to snap it up.
