Fairmont is currently running a sale in which it’s offering 25% – 40% off rates at select properties in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Bermuda through 30 November 2019. In addition, select American Express cardmembers can save even more at most of these properties courtesy of an ongoing targeted offer.

The AMEX Offer

“Get a one-time $80 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $400 USD or more on room rate and room charges, when you pay for your stay at Fairmont or Sofitel Hotels & Resorts by 12/17/2019.”

All the terms and conditions can be found alongside the offer on your targeted card, but the key condition to note is that the offer is only valid at “Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Sofitel Hotels and Resorts in the US, Canada and Mexico“.

Fortunately, that condition shouldn’t cause too many problems in this instance as only one of the properties participating in the current Fairmont sale is outside the US, Canada and Mexico – paid reservations at all the other participating properties should trigger the AMEX offer.

Rates must be booked by October 3rd, 2019 11:59 PM EST for select dates until November 30th, 2019.

Quick Thoughts

There are only 4 days left to book this deal, the stays have to be made bt 30 November and most of the participating properties appear to have blackout dates – that’s all the bad news out of the way.

The good news is that some of the hotels in the sale are very nice indeed and, even at the lower end of the discount range (25%), there are some good deals to be had…especially if you can use the AMEX offer in tandem with this sale.

Note: Be aware that the AMEX will not trigger if you book the Fairmont Southampton in Bemuda…but the 40% discount on offer at this property may make this less of an issue.
