Delta took delivery of its first Airbus A330-900neo just a few weeks ago with the aircraft set to enter service on the airline’s Seattle – Shanghai route from 1 July. Earlier this month that entry into service date was pushed back to 15 July but the schedules on Delta’s two other planned A330-900neo routes remained firm….up until now.

Delta’s Seattle – Seoul route was due to get A330-900neo service from 1 August but, in a recent schedule update, Delta has pushed back the new aircraft appearance on this route to 1 October 2019. [HT: Routes Online]

Here’s the schedule as at that date:

DL199 SEA 11:20 – 15:15+1 day ICN (Mon, Sat & Sun)
DL199 SEA 11:35 – 15:15+1 day ICN (Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri)

DL198 ICN 19:20 – 13:41 SEA (Daily)

Note: The first Delta A330-900neo service out of Seoul is set for 2 October 2019.

Also…

Delta’s route between Seattle and Tokyo Narita was due to be operated by a new Airbus A330-900neo from 31 August but that date has now been pushed back to 27 October 2019.

Here’s what Delta’s Narita schedule looks like from the date the A330-900neo first appears:

DL199 SEA 12:10 – 15:00+1 day NRT (Daily)
DL198 NRT 17:20 – 10:05 SEA (Daily)

Note: The first Delta A330-900neo service out of Tokyo Narita is set for 28 October 2019.

What You Need To Know About Delta’s A330-900neo

Sadly, if you’re booked to fly Delta’s services between Seattle and Seoul or Seattle and Tokyo Narita before the new October entry into service dates you won’t be flying in the airline’s latest aircraft and, unless you’ve booked a refundable fare, you will not be able to change your flights without incurring a penalty.
