Chase is now running at least four new cash back deals for spending made at select IHG brands, and a little unusually for Chase, it looks like cardholders are being given a little more time than normal to trigger the savings on offer – they run through the middle of September.
The offers
These are the offers that we can can see have been targeted to one or more of our cards:
- Earn 10% back on your InterContinental stay when you spend $100 or more, with a $62.00 back maximum
- Earn 10% back on your Crowne Plaza stay when you spend $100 or more, with a $62.00 back maximum.
- Earn 10% back on your EVEN stay when you spend $100 or more, with a $62.00 back maximum.
- Earn 10% back on your Holiday Inn Express stay when you spend $100 or more, with a $62.00 back maximum.
All four offers appear to have near-identical terms and conditions, with the key ones looking like this:
- All expire on 13 September 2025.
- All are valid one time only.
- Complete payment for your stay must be made by 13 September 2025 if the cash back is to be triggered.
- The offers are only valid at the stated brands.
- The offers are not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g. buy now pay later).
- The offers are “valid in-store in the US only and online at US website ihg.com only“
You may find that these offers are targeted to multiple cards (we’re have three of these offers targeted to one card and all four offers targeted to another card), so don’t forget that you can use these offers with all of the cards that have been targeted.
They’re valid once per card and not once per account holder (this is a key difference between Chase offers and Amex offers).
With the maximum rebate set at $62, you’ll max out each offer with $620 of spending, so if you have a bill that comes to more than that, try to split your payment across a couple of cards to which you’ve added these offers to maximise the cash back that you can earn.
The terms suggest that these offers are restricted to bookings in the US only, but history tells us that this isn’t a term that’s always enforced.
Recently, we had a Chase Uber offer trigger in Europe when the terms stated that it was a US-only offer, so if you have an upcoming stay at a participating brand but the property is outside of the US, it may be worth trying to trigger the offer anyway as you may get lucky.
Bottom line
Chase is currently running targeted offers for stays at InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, EVEN and Holiday Inn Express properties with a 10% rebate (capped at $62) available at all four brands.
It’s possible that some cardholders may see offers for other brands as well as the ones listed in this article (that’s the nature of targeted offers) and as Chase has been known to roll out these types of hotel offers over a period of days, it may be worth checking your account(s) more than once just to make sure that you don’t miss out.
