The residences start off with 1-bedroom units of 60 sq m or 646 sq ft and then progress through 2-bedroom units (102 sq m, 1,097 sq ft), 3-bedroom units ( 135 sq m, 1,453 sq ft) and a 4-bedroom Penthouse unit (350 sq m,  3,767 sq ft).

It looks like they’ve made sure that guests won’t be short of dining options as the press release goes on to say:

“The hotel is home to a collection of nine stylish restaurants, lounges and bars, setting it up to be one of the new hot spots of Dubai, including, YNot, a wine and tapas bar; Accents, a restaurant and deli serving up dishes from around the globe; as well as Ginter a gin bar with one of Dubai’s largest gin collections, Gallery Lounge and Urban Shisha Lounge.”

By the end of September this year the hotel will also be home to the Marina Social restaurant which is to be run by British Michelin-starred chef, Jason Atherton and will include an exclusive bar (The Social Room) with “mixologists creating unique cocktails using an eclectic range of spirits from around the world, and will be host to one of the largest whiskey collections in the city“.

The hotel also features an outdoor swimming pool boasting marina views next to which are male and female spas.

Lastly, they haven’t forgotten the fitness crowd. The hotel has a 24 hour gym with separate weight and cardio rooms.

The hotel appears to be fully open as of now (the website allows you to book rooms immediately) and IHG have resisted the temptation to throw their new hotel to the very top of the points redemption scale with redemptions requiring 45,000 points per night.

Up until now, Starwood’s Grosvenor House has been my preferred hotel in the Dubai Marina area but, with IHG points easy to come by, the InterContinental Dubai Marina could well be an interesting alternative.
