Our aim at Vacation Smarter has always been to help our users make informed decisions when it comes to their vacation plans. Whether we’re highlighting resorts that charge extra fees once you check in (local taxes, for example) or whether we’re coding our site to ensure that postings have as much accurate information as possible, we’re always trying to give our users more information than they’re offered elsewhere.
Today we’re continuing our efforts to provide all the information we can by beginning a project that will allow users to view videos taken at the resorts we visit. As far as we can tell no other timeshare rentals/resales site (like ours) offers this to their users so, hopefully, this is a first for a lot of people reading this. If nothing else, these videos will give everyone a better idea of the types of accommodations they can expect when they rent or buy on VacationSmarter.com – and we think that’s pretty cool.
It’s important to remember that resorts can have more than one type of room/villa (most resorts have at least 2 or 3) so the videos that we upload are only meant to give an indication of the quality of the furnishings and the fixtures and fittings that you can expect to have on your vacation.
In addition, and we can’t stress this enough, please remember that we’re not filmmakers so please don’t expect Hollywood style cinematography! We’re just doing our best. Also, we’re not going to have a new video every week – no matter what some may think we’re not traveling to resorts every month of the year! What we can promise is that we will take videos wherever we can and we will upload them to our new YouTube channel (Vacation Smarter TV) as soon as they’re fit for consumption.
