Today is day 4 of this year’s Daily Getaways deals and whichever way you look at it, this is definitely one of the less interesting days in the promotion. Still, if you’re in need of Wyndham points, today’s offer may give you an opportunity to top up an account at a reasonable cost.

The deal

There’s just one deal on offer today:

At $175 for 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points this sale is offering points at a little under 1.2 cents each and, frankly, that’s not a particularly exciting deal.

I value Wyndham Rewards points at 0.8 cents each so from the get-go, this offer doesn’t look promising but if you look carefully (and like staying at Wyndham properties) there may be a little value to be found here.

The last time I checked, Wyndham had almost 2,300 properties worldwide that are bookable for just 7,500 points per night so with points purchased in this sale, a night at one of these properties can be booked for approximately $90.

While no one is going to get rich off the savings that this can offer…

…it’s worth keeping in mind that Wyndham Rewards bookings are flexible (can be cancelled up to 24 hours before check-in) and so can be considerably more useful than the cheapest rates that Wyndham’s properties offer.

Using the example above, anyone buying 15,000 points in today’s Daily Getaways sale would save $48 on a 2-night booking, and while this is hardly spectacular, it’s still a worthwhile saving to make.

Key terms

What You Receive: 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points, which can be redeemed at thousands of participating Wyndham Rewards hotels, vacation club resorts, and vacation rentals worldwide.

Dates of Travel: Anytime until points expire (4 years from deposit date except where prohibited by law) or are forfeited or cancelled due to membership inactivity for 18 months.

Max. Qty. per Purchase: No more than 2 sets of points per Wyndham Rewards member.

Make sure you check all the terms and conditions which you’ll find on the Daily Getaways page.

Bottom line

At 13:00 ET today, a new Daily Getaways promotion will go live and Wyndham Rewards points will go on sale at ~1.2 cents each. Whether or not this is a worthwhile deal will depend on how likely you are to stay at a Wyndham property and what kind of property you’d like to stay.

Personally, this isn’t a promotion that interests me in the slightest but then I’m not a Wyndham fan nor am I a collector of Wyndham points so while I may not want to participate in today’s sale, I’m sure that others will.
