Air France/KLM have a couple of great fares available to book right now for travel to Singapore. And with travel dates from January through to the end of the booking period in August of 2016 there are plenty of dates to choose from.
Fare 1: Amsterdam – Singapore
Routing: AMS-SIN-AMS or AMS-CDG-SIN-CDG-AMS
Travel dates: January – August 2016

Flights can either be non-stop between Amsterdam and Singapore or you can route through Paris Charles-de-Gaulle.

As mentioned above, these fares are available for travel from January through August 2016 and I’ve reproduced the month-by-month availability (as shown on ITA Matrix) below:
As you can see, availability is good throughout 2016 – there only downside is that it doesn’t appear like short trips will work with this fare.
The Air France Singapore website is currently showing off their new business class product which they began to roll out in 2014. The lie-flat seat and 16″ touch-screen monitors are a big improvement on the dismal product they served up before. Based on the fact that the Singapore based website is showing the new cabin I’m going to assume that the aircraft flying CDG-SIN have now been fitted with the new style – and that’s a good thing.

KLM has also been busy refitting its 777 aircraft with a new business club product…..
…but before you rush out to book a ticket I’d consult with this FlyerTalk thread in the KLM forum which has the most up-to-date information on which aircraft have received the new interiors and which still look like something out of 1987.
Fare 2: Düsseldorf/Frankfurt – Singapore

It’s probably best if I warn you from the outset that availability on this route isn’t as good as on the Amsterdam-Singapore route (despite the fact that these flights route through Amsterdam).
Availability in January is pitiful…..
…and February isn’t much better…..
March is just as bad as the previous months…..
…and the less said about availability in April the better…..
May looks promising…that’s more choice of dates than any other month so far.
June is better still….if only marginally.
But we’re back to lean times for July…..
As of now, the last bookable dates are in August (which looks ok) but there’s no sign of an end date for this fare so September may be good too when bookings open.
The important thing to bear in mind with all of these flights is that you need to check the aircraft that will be flying the long-haul sector. Both Air France and KLM have been fitting new business class products over the last 18 months but that doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get one of the new cabins on a route you choose. If you end up on one of the older planes it won’t be the end of the world and you’ll still have got yourself a great fare…..but it won’t be a 5 star experience by any stretch of the imagination.
