It’s the middle of the month and that means that Singapore Airlines has published its latest set of KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes deals and, frankly, the airline may as well not have bothered. I didn’t think that the airline could offer fewer deals than it did in its last two sets of Spontaneous Escapes but I’ve just been proven very, very wrong. Read on only if you’re ready for serious disappointment.

Headline terms & conditions

  • Book by 30 November 2022
  • Travel between 1 December and 31 December 2022 (blackout dates may apply)
  • Get a 30% discount on select award bookings
  • One-way and roundtrip awards are permissible
  • Taxes and fees will be charged

Full terms and conditions are reproduced at the end of this post

The deals

Ordinarily and at this point, I remind readers that what they’ll see below are just examples of the deals that are being offered and that more deals may be available…but not this time.

There are so few deals being offered in this month’s KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes that I have published the full list.

Note: The costs you’ll see indicated below are for one-way travel excluding taxes and fees.

Business Class deals

Southeast Asia Routes:

In this set of Spontaneous Escapes, there are just three Business Class deals on offer for travel within Southeast Asia.

Singapore to or from…

  • Bali (on select flights) – 14,700 miles*
  • Ho Chi Minh City (on select flights) – 16,800 miles*

Also, Manila to Singapore is available for 16,800 miles*

*Blackout dates apply

North Asia Routes:

In this set of Spontaneous Escapes, there is just one Business Class deal on offer for travel to or from North Asia.

Singapore to or from Hong Kong for 23,800 miles.

West Asia & Africa Routes:

In this set of Spontaneous Escapes, there is just one Business Class deal on offer for travel to/from West Asia or Africa:

Colombo to Singapore for 30,100 miles.

Southwest Pacific Routes:

**No Business Class deals offered**

European Routes:

**No Business Class deals offered**

USA & Canada Routes:

**No Business Class deals offered**

Premium Economy deals

North Asia Routes:

There’s just one Premium Economy Class deal for travel within this region.

Singapore to or from…

  • Hong Kong (on select flights) – 18,550 miles*

*Blackout dates apply

West Asia & Africa Routes:

**No Premium Economy deals offered**

Southwest Pacific Routes:

**No Premium Economy deals offered**

European Routes:

There are two Premium Economy deals on offer for this region.

  • Frankfurt to New York (JFK) – 36,400 miles
  • Singapore to Frankfurt – 49,700 miles*

*Blackout dates may apply

USA & Canada Routes:

**No Premium Economy deals offered**

Bottom line

If you happen to need to travel to or from one of the destinations that are listed in this month’s Spontaneous Escapes, a 30% discount on award travel is probably going to seem like a nice deal to be offered.

If, however, you’ve been waiting for KrisFlyer to offer up some decent December Business Class discounts for travel to/from Africa, the Middle East, North America, Europe, and/or Australia, you’re not going to be happy with what Singapore Airlines has published.

I never thought that we’d see the day when Singapore Airlines would offer Business Class Spontaneous Escapes deals on just five routes… and yet here we are.
