Singapore Airlines has brought back a promotion that we last saw in November last year (I think) in which it’s offering bonuses to KrisFlyer members who transferring points from most (possibly all) of its bank partners around the world. In the case of the US, transfers from Amex, Citi, Chase, Capital One appear to qualify but with over 40 participating banks around the world, most readers should be able to make the most of this offer if it works for them (some may be able to get a 20% bonus).
The Key Terms
- Offer ends 22 November 2021.
- This Campaign is open to all KrisFlyer members who are customers of participating banks and have Bank Reward Points.
- A KrisFlyer member will earn Bonus KrisFlyer Miles if he or she converts his or her Bank Reward Points from a participating bank into at least 10,000 KrisFlyer miles in a single transaction (“Qualifying Transaction”).
- There is no maximum number of Bonus KrisFlyer miles that a KrisFlyer member can earn by participating in this Campaign.
- The Bonus KrisFlyer miles will be calculated on a per Qualifying Transaction basis and not on the cumulative sum of KrisFlyer miles converted during the Campaign Period.
- Converted KrisFlyer miles and Bonus KrisFlyer miles will be credited to a KrisFlyer member’s KrisFlyer account as per the applicable participating bank’s conversion timeframes specified in such bank’s terms and conditions.
- The conversion of Bank Reward Points to KrisFlyer miles is subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the participating bank. KrisFlyer members will be responsible for any related fees for conversion of Bank Reward Points to KrisFlyer miles, as may be levied by the participating banks, respectively.
- For KrisFlyer members, all Base KrisFlyer miles or Bonus KrisFlyer miles awarded in accordance with this Campaign will be valid for three (3) years from the date on which they are credited into the recipient’s KrisFlyer account and no extensions of validity will be permitted.
- For PPS Club members, all Base KrisFlyer miles or Bonus KrisFlyer miles awarded in accordance with this Campaign will not expire, so long as they retain their PPS Club membership status in accordance with the applicable PPS Club’s terms and conditions, which can be found here.

Quick Thoughts
I’m a huge fan of Singapore Airlines and I’ve managed to snap up some of my best value award bookings by transferring points into the KrisFlyer program from either Amex, Chase, or Citi, but this is a promotion I’ll be sitting out.
Singapore may be opening up to the world with its Vaccinated Travel Lanes but there is still way too much uncertainty surrounding travel in and out of Singapore and across the airline’s network for me to make any speculative transfers across to the KrisFlyer program. If I could see that an award I wanted to book was available and that my chosen destination would welcome me with open arms (i.e not restrict my movements upon arrival), I’d happily initiate a transfer but if that’s not going to happen, I’m not going to initiate a transfer.
If you’re based in Singapore or if you have any orphaned points sitting in a banking program that you no longer really use, this is a promotion that may well work for you but everyone else should be taking a close look at where they can and cannot fly with Singapore Airlines before making a transfer.
Bottom Line
Singapore Airlines is currently offering an uncapped 15% bonus to anyone transferring a variety of bank rewards currencies to the KrisFlyer program through 22 November 2021 (a minimum of 10,000 miles must be created). For most readers, this probably won’t be a big enough bonus to tempt them into a speculative transfer, but if you’re based in Singapore (or can fly to a number of destinations that Singapore Airlines serves without issues) this has the potential to be useful.
