Singapore Airlines has joined in the seasonal fun and is promoting a Black Friday sale for departures from various US cities. Interestingly, considering I consider Singapore Airlines to be the better carrier, these deals appear to be better than the Cathay Pacific Black Friday deals I wrote about yesterday.
All the following deals are available to book through 26 November 2018 and the travel dates vary by destination with some fares available into October 2019.
Singapore Airlines Black Friday Business Class Deals

- Ho Chi Minh City from $2,990
- Singapore from $3,090
- Phuket from $3,190
- Bali from $3,190
The clear winner here is the New York – Frankfurt deal for $1,990 and, although a lot of the other Business Class fares are pricing up at over $3,000 roundtrip, it’s interesting to note how much cheaper these Business Class fares are compared to Cathay Pacific current sale.
One could argue that Cathay’s reverse herringbone Business Class seats are better than the seats you’ll find in Singapore Airlines Business Class….but they’re not that much better.
Also, given the choice of the service you get on Singapore Airlines and the service on modern-day Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines is the clear winner every time.

There are some genuinely great deals here and I’d be tempted to book any number of these if I was looking for another trip.
LA to Singapore for $950, San Francisco to Hong Kong for $850 and New York to Frankfurt for $950 are all excellent deals and, with Premium Economy offering seats that are almost 20″ wide and with 38″ of legroom, these deals are a great alternative to the far more expensive Business Class fares.
Singapore Airlines Black Friday Economy Class Deals
There are too many of these deals to list out by city so here are a few highlights:
- Houston – Manchester (UK) from $590
- Houston – Ho Chi Minh City from $600
- Los Angeles – Tokyo from $450
- Los Angeles – Bangkok from $540
- New York – Frankfurt from $490
- New York – Bali from $590
- San Francisco – Hong Kong from $450
- San Francisco – Phuket from $540
- Seattle – Bangkok from $450
- Seattle – Manila from $450
Singapore Airlines offers some of the best Economy Class cabins still flying and I don’t think you’ll find another mainstream airline which offers as much personal space at each seat.
Most (possibly all) of the Singapore Airlines long-haul fleet offer Economy Class seats with 32″ of pitch (legroom) and up to 19″ of seat width and those are incredible dimensions for today’s airline industry.
When you couple those dimensions with fares to Europe from $490 roundtrip and fares from the East Coast to Bali from $590 you start to see what a good deal some of these fares offer.
Bottom Line
There’s a lot of value to be had in the Singapore Airlines Black Friday sale and I’m surprised at how much better it is that the Cathay Pacific sale I wrote about yesterday.
The sweet spots here are definitely to be found amongst the Premium Economy fares although Singapore Airlines seems to have included something for everyone in this sale.
