British Airways flash sale
If you don’t have a specific destination in mind or if you are flexible with when you travel, the best way to see what’s on offer is to use BA’s Low Fare Finder tool.
To give you a flavor of the deals that are currently available, here are some of the better fares that I’ve seen so far (prices are one-way):
- Alicante – from £35
- Athens – from £48
- Barcelona – from £34
- Basel – from £36
- Billund – from £33
- Bologna – from £36
- Bordeaux – from £29
- Copenhagen – from £37
- Dublin – from £25
- Dubrovnik – from £49
- Faro – from £31
- Gothenburg – from £35
- Krakow – from £34
- Larnaca – from £55
- Lyon – from £36
- Milan – from £38
- Naples – from £37
- Nice – from £33
- Oslo – from £36
- Palma – from £31
- Paphos – from £54
- Pisa – from £34
- Prague – from £38
- Seville – from £35
- Sofia – from £37
- Stockholm – from £38
- Toulouse – from £37
- Valencia – from £37
- Venice – from £39
- Warsaw – from £38
Happily (and unlike some sales that we see), these sale fares aren’t particularly difficult to find and prices around these levels don’t appear to be confined to just one or two months of the year.
You’re not going to find super-cheap flights in the middle of the summer holidays but there are still plenty of months in which there are some very good fares on offer.
It’s also worth noting that apart from this flash sale, British Airways is still running a regular across its entire network and while a lot of the long-haul Business Class fares are disappointingly expensive, there are some reasonable deals available for short-haul Business Class bookings – Sofia (160 Tier Points for roundtrip Business Class) at just £97 each way is one of the stand-out deals.
Bottom line
British Airways has launched a 4-day flash sale for shot-haul European flights out of Heathrow and Gatwick. The airline is offering 600,000 seats at under £39 each way so if you were planning on booking a European flight out of London, now would be a good time to check what BA is offering.
